Q567: I'm looking for a post from not too long ago. Not sure if it was here, or gleemax, or somewhere else. It was a list of all the things spells do in D&D. Not in any game terms, just change shape, create matter, summon creatures, etc. Any help?

I've done some more digging into this, and the best I can come up with is that it is all Necromancy spells, as well as any effect that specifically calls out that it is a necromancy/necromantic effect, such as a Ghost's frightful moan ability. It would not, however, include things like a vampire's energy drain, as it isn't specified as being a necromancy effect, either in the MM or the DMG. Would anyone disagree with that?

Q 570: what is a good spell for draconic right of passage for a kobold?

i was thinking of mage armour because with Draconic Reservoir you could have it up for nearly every fight, and at level 8 could have ip up all day.
think character will be a venerable dragonwrought kobold sorcerer.

A570: Identify? It's not spectacular, but not having to pay for it might be nice at low levels, before you have a chance to get something like an Artificer's Monocle.

The main reason I was asking is that I'm contemplating a thri-kreen warblade in an upcoming game. Tiger Claw looks like it was written for a thri-kreen.

Tome of Battle is a truly beautiful thing with Thri-keen. Swift action jumps? Yes please. Sneak Attack with no Rogue levels? Why not? Dex to Damage? Thank you very much.

Beast Strike does what again? I'm AFB. From context it seems like it adds claw damage to unarmed strikes? If so, this is your answer.

INA only works for one natural weapon, but can be taken multiple times. If you had INA (Claw) and INA (IUS), then yes, Beast Strike would use the higher damage from both, since that's the only damage for both that you have any more.

Or slap a lv of martial adept onto an elder elemental. Cr12, access to 7th lv maneuvers.

Q571: Can Battle Jump and Soaring Raptor Strike be combined? The question stems from the activation requirements of Battle Jump, that you must drop from above your enemy a certain height. Soaring Raptor Strike specifies you leap to attack your opponent, but it doesn't say that you reach anything other than the minimum height to get the right angle for the maneuver. I suppose if you were already attacking from above it would be no problem, but can you do it from the ground?

Q572: Does the Codex Anathema (LoM 214) allow a character to exceed those skill ranks? Most anything else that says it gives ranks has like 5 different sentences explaining how it can't be used to exceed the level+3 max rank limit...

The thing is, the maneuver doesn't specify that you actually jumped as high as your check; you make a check against your target's AC and if you make it you get to attack with a +4 bonus (and if you don't, you don't get to attack at all).

The maneuver also doesn't mention actual movement on the character, but I assume there's jumping involved.

The obvious solution is to initiate it from higher ground (with a flight-capable mount or a carpet of flying), and then it's all legal.
