Q 456

How does one nullify/defeat an anti-magic field as a caster within the field?

A456:

As previously mentioned, Initiate of Mystra could work, but I assume that you don't have that option right now. If you don't, I can only think of one option.

Invoke Magic from Lords of Madness is a level 9 spell that you cast as a swift action. Once you cast it, you can then cast another spell of level 4 or lower. The effect is then over. This specifically can be done in an antimagic field.

Break Line of Effect. It's an emanation. You could wear a shrunken iron dome (like an igloo) as a hat. When the AMF hits you, it will automatically cover you, blocking LoE, and allowing you to cast something to escape.

That might not work. It has a 10 foot radius. Move + Tumble ranks should work, unless the guy has Knight levels or Thicket of Blades, or really long reach.

Anti Magic Field suppresses Shrink Item, thus you now have an iron dome blocking Line of Effect. You can follow up with a Dimension Door or something to get away.

Thank's all for your great answers. another question:

Q452
What's the use of spellcraft in fortifying a magic circle against ~~~? what effect does it have? what DCs are to be rolled? (PS. i know this suddenly becomes a not so simple question, but is there anything else notable about spellcraft and magic circles?)

Thank's a lot.

Thank's all for your great answers. another question:

Q457
What's the use of spellcraft in fortifying a magic circle against ~~~? what effect does it have? what DCs are to be rolled? (PS. i know this suddenly becomes a not so simple question, but is there anything else notable about spellcraft and magic circles?)

Thank's a lot.

DC 20 Spellcraft check. You do not know the result of this check. If the check fails, the diagram is ineffective.
[...]
A successful diagram allows you to cast a dimensional anchor spell on the magic circle during the round before casting any summoning spell. The anchor holds any called creatures in the magic circle for 24 hours per caster level. A creature cannot use its spell resistance against a magic circle prepared with a diagram, and none of its abilities or attacks can cross the diagram. If the creature tries a Charisma check to break free of the trap (see the lesser planar binding spell), the DC increases by 5.
So, you can use a Spellcraft check to fortify a Magic Circle if you want to use it for Planar Binding, and it has the bolded effects.

Q450: Does it say anywhere what length of time is required to perform a legacy ritual as per the Weapons of Legacy?

Still unanswered. Anyone know?

A450: There is no explicit length for a legacy ritual.  It's really up to what the ritual is, and what would be an appropriate amount of time.

Q458 Is there anyway for a Dragonfire adept to learn an invocation not on their class list. Specifically I want to get the warlock invocation spiderwalk, and at the earliest possible level.

EDIT:Thanks InnaBinder

Q458
A phaerimm (Lost Empires of Faerun 188) has a flight speed of 30', but at what maneuverability?
Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

A451: Only if you've got Smite from another source, like the Killoren Aspect.  Smite Evil on a non-Evil source should not trigger Awesome Smite abilities, by RAW.

Ask your DM about the Extra Invocation Feat from Complete Arcane.  RAW, it's Warlock only, but I believe that was written before DFA was printed to give another class Invocations.

Probably specific to each legacy item.  I know the Sun Sword from Expedition to Castle Ravenloft takes 8 hours (or perhaps "one night," I forget exactly).
