Q 699: MIC enchantment rules:

You can add almost every item property to you items, for as long as you pay the enchantment costs. If you add +X WIS to your phylactery of undead turning, it costs X*X*1,000 GP. If you add the property "Emergency Healing" to it, it costs the price of the "Amulet of Emergency Healing" x1,5 (the item already is enchanted). If you add "of Mystic Healing", it costs the price of a ring of Mystic Healing x 2,0 (wrong body slot and already enchanted).

Is there an upper limit on the number of enchantments on a single item? Ten (like a weapon/armor)? His purse? Whatever the DM allows?

A697: All classes. A698: It's not as clear there. I'm not sure that is 100% clarified anywhere, but Pearls of Power definitely can work as Cognizance Crystals, so I don't see why the Ioun Stone wouldn't work for them as well.

Q 700: I seem to remember a lower level spell that laid down a trail that a fiend had to follow if it crossed the trail and failed a will save. I thought this spell was in one of the Fiendish Codexes, but am not locating it there. I'm pretty sure it had the word "trail" in the name of the spell. Anyone know what spell I'm thinking of, and where it is located? Sadly, the spell section of crystal keep hasn't been updated since 2005.

Q 701: What templates can turn a creature into an outsider? I've been able to find the Half-celestial, Half-fiend, Half-elemental (MotP), Vivacious creature and Entropic creature from PlnH, and there may have been one or two others listed on crystal keep. Does anyone know of any others?

Bonus cookies if it has a CR adjustment or LA of +1 or less

Cant you just take a Tiefling or Aasimar or pick up the Otherworldly feat?
I don't know about any templates aside from the ones you mentioned, sorry.

It's not for a character. It's the evil DM side of me playing through template/type loops to give monsters an ability I want them to have.

Take any demon, etc, slap on the half-troll template to make it a giant, give it the primordial giant template so it can use invisibility at will, then I want to turn it back into an evil outsider. Half-fiend seems to be the best option. That or entropic creature.

Sure, I could just give them the damn ability to use invisibility at will, or give them 6 levels of Warlock, but the number-crunching side of me likes to do things the hard way...

A701 Diabolus from the list of races pdf on crystalkeep is an Outsider race with 0 level adjustment. It's not a template but it's otherwise fit for purpose.

Q702 Sanctified spells from BoED require stat point sacrifices to cast, when I brought this to my DM he asked for some kind of 'proof' that the drain can be removed. My opinion is that I could cast restore afterwards, his opinion is that the drain would remain until the spells effect expires. Doesn't say anything in BoED that I found sooo, if I summon a Unicorn and some Ysgard Bariaurs, do I get to restore the stat drain immediately or not o_O

it says in the part about sanctified spells, that you do not incur the damage/penalty until after the spell runs out. this is why alot of the good aligned abjurant champions like abusing luminous armor..... 1hour/level, auto extended = loooong time. get the cleric to have a single lesser restoration (maybe two, just to be sure), bind naberious or other such shenanigans, and go to town.

also, it states that it is ability "damage", and should thus follow all the normal rules for it.

From what I can gather, both the Regeneration 5 and Fast Healing 1 would be healing the nonlethal damage, effectively giving the troll "regeneration" 6 until all the nonlethal damage is healed. At that point the regeneration stops, and the fast healing would only then begin healing the fire damage at a rate of 1 point per round.

Is that the right interpretation of this combination? Does anyone have an argument as to why it wouldn't work that way?

[spoiler=The question]Suppose a fiend has been bound in a Hedged Prison (as per the binding spell). Binding dictates that a the target cannot wander from the hedged prison "by any means." The possession ability of some fiends (as per Fiendish Codex I [or ECS]) allows them to "hide" within a possessed creature, and as such can pass through a magic circle against evil, enter an area under effect of forbiddance, or prevent detection via a detection spell.

If a creature entered the bound fiend's hedged prison, and was therein possessed by the incorporeal fiend, could the fiend "hide" inside the possessed creature, and thereby cross the boundaries of its hedged prison? I'm guessing not, but wanted to make sure.[/spoiler]
