The real usage tip is that readied actions generally suck. ;)
Actions are one of the most precious resources in D&D, so you want to word the trigger to be sure that you'll get to act in a meaningful way whatever happens.

Q294 Is ability drain considered negative energy based or does it just pretend to be?

Q:295 Does anyone know the name of the magic item that increases effective druid level, and if you do what book is it in and does it also effect animal companions?

A 295 Presumably the Wildshape Amulet from Magic of Faerun (3.0). It's for wildshape and not the AC.

Q296: I vaguely recall a 3.0 or 3.5 druid spell that was essentially a bigger version of Reincarnate. IIRC, it also allowed a choice of two or more table checks as to what the dead character could come back as. Have I lost my mind or does this spell exist, and if so, what is its name and where is it?

Q297:

Is it possible for a wizard to choose the elven wizard substitution levels AND be a domain wizard? None of the options seems to say that it 'costs' the ability to specialize to use them, just that a wizard using them cannot also specialize.

Oh, and Q298:

Does the elven racial substitution levels stack with wizard levels when determining my familiars abilities?

And one more, Q299:

Can my wizard still trade away the Scribe Scroll feat she gains as a bonus feat at level one for a fighter bonus feat in accordance with the alternate class feature list in UA page 59, even though she is now gains it from a substitution level?

Q301: When it qualifies for a permanent transformation, is PAO countered by Disjunction? I.E. I cast PAO on myself and I get disjunctioned, am I screwed?
Gendou Ikari is basically Gregory House in Kaminashades. This is FACT.

A 297b That's debatable. "It doesn't say you can't" is as far as I'll go.

A 300 It should.

A 301 Yes. PAO is permanent in that case (by opposition to instantaneous) hence can be dispelled.

Q302: Is there a written expansion that allows rangers to take a subtype (like swarm) instead of a whole type (like undead) for their favored enemy? I would think if there is an arcanists (ie every BBEG ever) substitution there must be a smaller, weaker variant around somewhere, right? Otherwise to get the swarming base types covered you would need favored vermin+animal+magical beast+fey+elemental :(

Q303: Is there any feat or ability (besides changeling or polymorph) that would allow a character who not or or half-orc to be counted as half-orc or orc for feats?

Q304: Is there a feat (not a class ability like bloodclaw master's) that gives full str bonus for an off-hand weapon while two weapon fighting?

Q302: What is the name of the feat that reduces the skill point penalty to character with a negative intelligence modifier? I swear I remeber it but now cannot find it again...

Q306 What ways are there, aside from specialization, domain wizard, and elf sub level, for a wizard to get more spell slots at high levels?

Q307: Immediate actions cannot be taken while flatfooted.  Nerveskitter, which is considered a Immediate action states that it is cast "when the party rolls for initiative", but since no one has acted yet, you are all flatfooted and you cannot take the action to cast the spell.  Someone explain?

A 307: Nerveskitter was errataed to have a clause at the end designating it as an exception to that rule, and that it can be cast while flatfooted.

Q 308 Would a Monk 10 with a Major bloodline get greater flurry of blows, since it is listed as a seperate class feature in the table, though the text says "When a monk reaches 11th level, her flurry of blows ability improves", indicating it is a level dependent, already existing class feature?

Hope SWSE Questions are allowed? If not ignore it please  ;)

Q: 309 SWSE: Force Unleashed Campaign Guide

Talents, Inquisitor (PRC: Force Adept) and Jedi Hunter (PRC: Bounty Hunter)

Does the Inquisitor- and Jedi Hunter-Talent count in Starship combat?

If the opponent is in an Starfighter it seams clear (for me), but if the opponent is an capital ship?
And there is only on force sensitve on the whole ship (1 out of 10000???)
