Dont beat me!
Q232: When a wizard (or an archivist) adds spells to his spellbook when he gains a level, does he pay the cost still? I assume he does, and hope I've been doing it wrong.

A232: No. He does not pay the cost. Yes. You have been doing it wrong. :P Check page 179 of the PHB. It discusses how they add spells to their spellbook and states that spells gained at level up are free.
The cake is a lie.

A233: Mighty isn't used anymore in 3.5. The rules for what used to be Mighty bows are lumped in with Composite bows on pages 119-121 of the PHB.

Q234: Are there any 3.5 rules for Animal Companions for Epic level Druids? The ones in the DMG are copied right over from 3rd and I don't think they apply anymore, seeing as druids can't have multiple animal companions anymore.

Q235: What's the best racial Strength bonus you can get in 2 points of LA, while taking no more than -2 to any one stat? My best effort is a Goliath Mineral Warrior (+6). Any better? (Draconic Mineral Warrior Orc has too many penalties for my liking).

A235: Lolth-Touched is a +1 LA template that has no penalties and +6 strength (and other benefits) [MM4, if I recall correctly].

Q 236: Focused Conjurer 5/Master Specialist 3. Collegiate Wizard, Spell Focus Conjuration, Spontaneous Divination. Last feat... Cloudy Conjuration vs Extend Spell
Other alternatives: Summon Elemental (Reserve), augment summoning...

Cloudy conjuration or Extend Spell?

At 9, if taking extend, I'll probably take sculpt (no rod of sculpt)

Damn pre-req :(

A236: I'd say go with Extend Spell, then either take Sculpt Spell or Metamagic School Focus (Conjuration). Cloudy Conjuration is nice, but IMO it's usually better to start off with it at low levels. It's a good feat, but the feats you took work better in my experiences with wizards, and it's often more useful at lower levels.

A237: It's an SLA and nothing is mentioned, so using it is a standard action. Hence, normally only once per round.

Q238: Can a wizard research and add spells to his or her spellbook that are not Sorcerer/Wizard spells?
Q238A: If yes, can a wizard add divine spells to his or her spellbook?

The text seems a little ambiguous on this since it says you can add spells from scrolls, but scrolls can carry spells that aren't Sorc/Wiz spells and that aren't even Arcane spells. Hopefully someone can clear this up for me.

Q239: From the SRD:
Quote
My question is this: would charge multipliers then only apply to the first attack since the others are made as a full attack that "follow(s)" the charge? It seems so to me, but I figured I should ask.

Q240: Do Natural weapons (such as claws and bite) count as unarmed attacks? More specifically, Would Shadow Blade apply to them (unarmed strike is a shadow hand favored weapon)?

A240: No, they do not count as unarmed attacks.

A238: Yes and no. They cannot add spells from a list that is not their own during level up. However, the DMG has rules on researching spells that are not on your own spell list. That makes it possible to add spells from another list to your spellbook.
A238A: Using the rules in the DMG, you can add divine spells, but they would become arcane spells as you research them.

Thanks for the answers. Yeah, I meant the researching process from the DMG for 238, not the level-up process.

Not to whine, but Isn't Unarmed Strike(a weapon type?) a seperate concept from being armed(A condition?) or not.
Quote from: SRD
Improved Unarmed Strike [General]
You are considered to be armed even when unarmed
If they were the same thing Wouldnt taking this feat disqualify yourself from using shadow blade or the like. The key words in both cases imo are "Considered armed".

Anyhow, after thinking about it some. The answer would still be No because they are different weapon types afterall. weapon focus[unarmed strike] would be seperate from weapon focus[claws].

Unarmed Strikes are a weapon.  And yes, you answered your own question, Nox apparently thought you were talking about the condition and not the weapon.

Q 241

Do Metapsionic and Psionic Item Creation feats count as Psionic Feats for the purpose of Psionic Body?
