Q44: Is there a way to bypass immunity to mind-affecting spells and abilities or simply even just compulsions when using spells with those descriptors?

There should be a metamagic feat from an issue of dragon which lets your compulsion spells affect undead. Something requiem. Not sure for other creature types.

A clear conscience is the surest sign of a failing memory.

A44  Well, if it's from Mind Blank or an item that has the same effect, there's always Greater Dispel Magic.

Don't know the spell, but you could always get a runestaff...

I hadn't actually read about Runestaffs (Runestaves?) before, so thanks on that.  However, that doesn't actually help me much, as I don't have the money to spare on one.  Any opinions from someone that knows the spell?

Q47:   The wording of the Shield Ward feat leads me to believe that an Abjurant Champion 5 with a shield spell active can use it to apply a +9 bonus to his touch AC and rolls to resist bull rush/disarm/grapple/overrun/trip attempts.  Is this interpretation accurate?

A 45. Yes it is a waste to have on a Bard's spell known. There may be 1 or 2 bard builds that would benefit from it, but 95% of the time, don't waste your time.

A 47. Strictly from the reading, yes. Although a DM may be quick to houserule against it, as that is likely not the intent of the feat.

:wink Nah, at least you're trying to help. And magical locations were introduced in DMG2, they were expanded in CS and CM recently, iirc
