Bump
Q 78 Just saw a really cool pic of a red dragon, but it's got spikes covering most of its body. Is there a template I can add to it to give it natural spikes, and a spiked tail like a stegosaurus?

Question 90: So if the shadow template increases your base speed by 1.5, would that mean that if I hasted myself so my speed was a total of 60 feet. Would my new speed applying shadow template would be 90?

When two or more multipliers apply to any abstract value (such as a modifier or a die roll), however, combine them into a single multiple, with each extra multiple adding 1 less than its value to the first multiple.
A90: By RAW, you should add the multipliers -1, so it's *2.5 With a basic speed of 30ft, this means you end up on 75ft.

Q85:  Suppose I have both nondetection and invisibility on me.  Would true seeing automatically reveal me?

A85 I'm pretty sure it still would. Nondetection prevents divinations from targeting you, which true seeing doesn't actually do. It flat out makes the person see invisible creatures.

Q80. Is there any way for a chameleon to switch his divine casting stat to charisma? Only thing I could find is dynamic priest, and well, the first level thing is a bit of a problem
Why is it a problem?  It specifically says you can take the feat before taking the divine spellcasting class it applies to.

The problem is its an existent character so I cant go back and redo my feat choice :P

Swordsage's bonus is unnamed, so I suppose yes. By RAW it even stacks with a monk's AC bonus.

Assuming your base speed was 30 and shadow increases it by 1.5 (to 45) your speed with haste would be 75.  Haste doesn't affect base speed.

I understood Haste to be a +30 foot Enhancement bonus to speed.
Granted it effectively doubles the speed of a creature with a 30 foot base speed.
Ironically I still ended up with a speed of 75 but I simply multiplied 30 by 1.5 to get a a base speed of 45. Then I just added 30 in for Haste after the multiplier.

Question 93: What type of speed bonuses can you add BEFORE a multiplier? I always added enhancement bonuses AFTER I multiplied the speed, but I was wondering if there were ways to add bonuses BEFORE I applied the multiplier from things like the Shadow template.

The barbarian's speed increase is basically racial.

Yes. It's even pointed out that you apply it before everything else.

Q92: Do Swordsage Wis and Battle Dancer Cha AC bonus stack?
Swordsage's bonus is unnamed, so I suppose yes. By RAW it even stacks with a monk's AC bonus.
That's the thing. By RAW you can't stack the same features if it's not specifically mentioned in the description. It doesn't matter that the bonus is unnamed, the features are exactly the same thing. But Swordsage and Battle Dancer features aren't. One uses Wis and the other Cha. I personally wouldn't allow to stack Monk and Swordsage, but allowing stacking for Monk/Swordsage/Ninja + Battle Dancer is understandable (RAW), IMO.

Distance is measured in feet and is thus a real-world number so D&D's multiplication rules don't apply.

Nondetection doesn't care about targeting. All it checks is to see if a divination spell would detect you. It works just fine against true seeing.

The bonus type does matter, as does the name. If the features have the same name, they don't stack. If they have the same bonus type, they also don't stack (unless it is of a bonus type that stacks with others of the same kind, like Dodge, etc).

RAW monk and swordsage dont stack anyway because swordsage is light armor only and monk is unarmoured only.

Q94: Does this mean that Vecna-blooded creatures are susceptible to a DDoS attack? What is the lowest level effect that would set this off? Say, something that could be attached to a cheap bauble that activates when handled by someone with levels in Street Urchin.

A85bb "Unlike other god-blooded abilities, the Vecna-blooded creature retains this special quality after it loses other abilities from this template." You could become evil and then become good once again, losing the template but retaining that special quality. You could make a good version of Vecna and add  that god's god-blooded template.

Yes.

Cloak of mysteries is staggeringly powerful, and you get to keep it if you lose the template (which is easy - just activate your divine endurance and burn it out).
