Q 243: How good is the invocation caustic mire?  I'm making an Eldritch Disciple/Hellfire warlock, and that invocation just screamed "awesome subject for Mortal Bane" - but as a greater invocation, I'm not so sure.

Q 244: Hair-brained idea that just struck me; don't know legalities.  One of the ED's gifts of the divine gives them a bonus to all [evil] and [chaos] spells.  Would that interact the way I'm wanting it to with the Abyssal Heritor feat that I'm remembering which gives any spell the [chaotic] descriptor x times/day?
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

Q 245: I wanna turn the fighter in our group into something big and mean via polymorph, but which part of equipment doesn't meld into a polymorph form? Armor, gloves of ogre strength, steadfast boots, anklet of translocation, what can adapt to the new (larger) form? Is there a general rule?

Ohh, this is nice :>
Is there a page reference for my DM?

Q 246: Polymorph still can only change the size of the target 1 step larger or smaller like alter self, right? But casting enlarge person should enable me to get our BSF into a huge form.

Belt of Magnificence.

It's in the Miniatures Handbook, but I think it may have been updated on the Magic Item Compendium.

No size restrictions on Polymorph, just type and HD restrictions.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Since it says "as Alter Self" and nothing otherwise to the size restriction, you can only adjust by 1 size step imo.

Q 248: Obviously the DCFS works on any feats, but what feats are fodder for retraining or PsyRef?  Can you do retrain/PsyRef racial weapon proficiency feats, or that Iron Will you bought from Otyugh Hole?

Q 249: If you are an Artificer 11 and you have a Minor Schema of Metamagic Item and Persistent Spell, is Metamagic Item persistable?

Only feats you gain by levelling up or selectable bonus feats can be retrained/PsyRef.

Description for Polymorph overrides that.
Actually, no it does not. It keeps the Alter Self restrictions and further says you can't become smaller than Fine, nor larger than Colossal.

Metamorphosis, however, remains unrestricted.

Q250: If I wield a reach weapon, but then sheath another weapon (for example when my enemy tumbles past my reach) will I have two-weapon fighting penalties when I will fight only with that non-reach weapon?
And what if the reach weapon would be two-handed?
Example: The Fighter uses a glaive. His enemy tumbles past his reach (or just ignores the AoO), but the Fighter doesn't want to drop his glaive, instead he Quick Draws a longsword and fights with it one-handed, still holding the glaive in the other hand, but not using it to attack. He shouldn't get any penalties, right?

No penalties.  In fact, you can carry around a sword in each hand, but if you only ever attack with one, you're just fighting as normal and take no penalties for such.

Since you can let your hand off your weapon as a free action, I see no reason why you can't quick-draw out a sword to strike with.

Q 251a BoED question. If I wanted to make arrows out of Frystalline, would I get 50 arrows out of the +2000 cost? If not, how many? How many bolts?
Q 251b Same question, but with regards to Solarian Truesteel.

Yes, why would it not for either?

A quick run to the SRD shows me Adamantine bolts are 60 a pop... which happens to be 1/50th of the price of a weapon (3000).  So Frystalline arrows would be 40 a pop.

Q 252a Is there a limit of hands that can be used to wield a single weapon?
Q 252b The spells Girallon's Blessing and Battlearms (Dragon 356 pg48) stack normally, and thus can be used to wield one weapon?
