Q181)  what ways besides the Torc of Heroic Sacrifice (MIC) are there to take hits for an ally?  In particular, I'm interested in spells, if they exist.  I know there's Friend Shield, but that requires you to cast it ahead of time.  Something that I can use more "on the fly" would be preferable.
The Guardian mantle's special ability lets you do this by expending your psionic focus.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

Q 183:

If using the Morphing weapon property do I apply feats that apply to the original weapon to the weapon it's turned into i.e. i I change a shuriken into a dagger would improved critical: shuriken apply to the critical range of the dagger?  Or should I stick aptitude on there to be safe?

Q184

Between the halberd and the glaive, which is more iconic in fantasy? I'm condensing some weapons into a single entry to reduce stupid redundancy, and I need to figure out what to call the result.
So you end up stuck in an endless loop, unable to act, forever.

In retrospect, much like Keanu Reeves.

Halberd, definitely.  While you never hear of the heroes using either, the halberd is incredibly common in fantasy for guards.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Q 180: I'm a druid with a Con score of 14.  While in my natural humanoid form I get slammed by a wraith twice for a total of 12 points of Con drain; I now have a Con of 2 (and a max of 12 hp's).  I then wildshape into a Wolverine (Con 19).  I know my HP's don't change, but is my Constitution score now 19 or 7?

Go with the Dwarven Warpike (Races of Stone) - the best of both worlds; a halberd with reach.

Q 185: Is there any spell that allows a Ranger to change one of his Favored Enemies for a time, like that spell from Complete Champion that allows a cleric to change a domain for days per level?

Q 186: Would the spells Holy Storm and Unholy Storm from the Spell Compendium make the area "stormy" for the effect of increasing the damage of a Call Lightning spell to d10's instead of d6's?

If you're allowed Pathfinder, the Hunter's Howl gives you a radius spell that makes everyone do a Will save or they'll become your favored for a time.

Q187: Some nice ways to replace BAB? I only know the Variant of UA, Skilful Weapon Enhancement (CArc) and the cleric spell from SRD.

Q188: If I use a 10th-level Silent Image to emulate Genesis, and have myself a shadow demiplane. And I attempt to planeshift someone with spell resistance there. What happens if I make the SR roll on the planeshift, but not on the (illusory, allowing spell resistance) Genesis spell?

They wind up in the Ethereal Plane? IIRC, that's "where" Genesis creates the demiplane, right?

Q 189:
Let's say I'm a Wild Shape Ranger 5/Master of Many Forms 9 or a Druid 16.

Rules wise, is there anything stopping me from wildshaping into an Earth Elemental, use Earth Glide and go into the ground at the end of each day to have almost an completely safe place to sleep for 8 hours?

Q 190:  I see it taken as writ a lot of places that someone can voluntarily fail a save, but I haven't been able to find anything that explicitly backs this up.  There are specific exceptions made for spells with (object) or (harmless) descriptors, but for other saves, I haven't seen anything  Anyone have a rules quote or source that I'm missing?

A180:  The FAQ indicates that ability damage sticks with you even if you change forms via wild shape.  So you will have a reduced CON no matter what form you take.

Q191: Got a question from a friend that I'm unsure on:

It's based on line of sight or line of effect in summoning.

Quote
The character cast fog cloud that included him in the area of effect. While there were enemies in the cloud there was another foe some distance away outside of the fog effect. The next turn the character started casting his summoning monster spell. The following turn when the spell was complete, he wanted 2 summoned creatures (badgers) to appear next to (and flanking) the enemy outside of the fog cloud. He is basing his casting on what he saw several rounds past and before the fog cloud (which happened in a surprise round).
How would you rule it?

I'm thinking the creatures appear where he intended them too (although the foe he hopes to flank may no longer be there).  He can define the location they arrive without seeing it:
Quote

Basically, he can define where the creatures appear, even without seeing it, but his defining may be based upon old, irrelevant information.

He couldn't define the location as "flanking foe X," without being able to see it, right?

The current version of wild shape doesn't change your type, so you don't lose a preexisting need to breathe.

Thanks!  Is there any such proviso for non-spells?  Specifically, a friend of mine tried to voluntarily fail his save against lycanthropy, which his DM said was not possible.

Q 192 The maedar in Dragon 355's Creature Catalog has Adamantine Strike, saying that their fists are extremely hard and can punch through most materials. It then says that the creature's slam attacks count as adamantine. If you added levels of monk to this creature, or gave it other natural attacks, would those not also count as adamantine? Or just the slam attacks?

Q 193 What "medusa" specific items or weapons could a maedar use, as per their description? They don't have hair so obviously snake chains should technically be out of the question.
