I guess I should have made an entirely seperate thread.
Elf Wizard "Generalist Wizardry" uses the ***exact and very specific text*** regarding replacing the standard Wizard's ability to specialize in a school of magic. Domain Wizard merely says you "cannot also be a specialist wizard" which I do not find to be RAW the same thing.
RAI, sure, I can see what they meant. RAW is entirely different and that is what I was questioning.
Additionally, Drow Wizard has dissimilar text. The text is, RAI, pretty easy to follow.
RAW it's kind of a mess IMO. Elf Wizard "Generalist Wizardry" again uses exact and specific text; "This substitution feature replaces the standard wizard's ability to specialize in a
school of magic." Meanwhile, Drow of the Underdark Drow Wizard says "You are considered specialized, but
not not in a specific school.
"
Additionally, the header of the chapter in UA has a specific place and format to find replacements for class features, and I don't see that being used in this case.
I know it's cut and dry RAI.
