bump

Q 35 When you make nonhumanoid armor with special materials, what part of the price is doubled? All of it, or just the base cost of the armor? Say for example, nonhumanoid mithral breastplate. 8400 gold, or 4400 gold?
The way i understood it was that the extra cost was due to the difficulty to create or rarity of making armor that shape not any additional materials. Dont think there is a RAW answer though.

I'd say it cost more, by the same reasoning that makes Craft checks to make items cost less in material costs, just as well. Think of it as picking prime cuts, and that costing more with odd shapes, or less with skill.
Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, every day, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to be always part of unanimity.

Q42: What's a good way to cheaply (and quickly) craft alchemical items? Do spells like fabricate work fine for this?

Q4: I thought there was some way to be counted as if at more than 2 places at once a la acorn of far travel. What am I thinking of?
Since we are all bumping, this one got overwritten by people not careful with the numbers.

Q 47: Does Transdimensional spell only work to make material plane spells affect the other coterminous planes, and not the other way around (ie - someone on the ethereal plan using it to try to affect people on the material plane)?

Quote
Q 48: So an incorporeal creature (or one on the ethereal plane) only benefits from the armor's enhancement bonus, and not the armor's armor bonus?  If the above is applicable versus corporeal and incorporeal attacks, is it different vs other ethereal opponents?

I'm looking at a Spirit Shaman's spirit form and the cleric spell Ghost Touch Armor (which gives the ghost touch ability to the target's armor).  Also looking at the use of Ethereal Jaunt.

Q 49:
Quote from: Complete Divine, Spirit Shaman

Ghost Warrior (Su): Beginning at 6th level, a spirit shaman confers the ghost touch special abilityto any weapon she holds for as long as she holds it. She also becomes resistant to the touch attacks of incorporeal creatures, and may use her normal Armor Class (not her touch AC) against any touch attack delivered by an incorporeal creature.

...

Spirit Form (Su): At 9th level and higher, a spirit shaman learns how to temporarily transform herself into a spirit.
Once per day, as a standard action, she can make herself incorporeal for up to 1 minute.

While incorporeal, a spirit shaman gains all the advantages of the incorporeal subtype (see the Glossary of the
Monster Manual), including immunity to all nonmagical attack forms, a 50% chance to ignore damage from any
corporeal source, and the ability to enter or pass through solid objects. The spirit shaman loses any armor or natural
armor bonus to AC, but gains a defection bonus equal to her Charisma modifer (minimum +1).

This effect is treated as a magic weapon for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
Why is the bold part true if any weapon she wields is treated as having the ghost touch property?

Q 49b: So if the Spirit Shaman is incorporeal (and thus has no Str score) it does make attack rolls based upon Dex (not touch attacks, but actual attacks), but deals damage of the sword it is wielding (1d8+magic), because of the ghost touch property?

Q 49c: But the Spirit Shaman could still get touch attacks dealing 1d6 damage with her hand (because the ghost touch ability only applies to "any weapon she holds for as long as she holds it."  So she can choose magic weapon for normal attacks, or just a touch for touch attacks dealing 1d6 damage?

Q 50: The granted power of the Blightbringer prestige domain of the Talontar Blightlord reads:
Quote
Granted Power: Rebuke or command blightspawned creatures and
evil-aligned animals or plants as an evil cleric rebukes undead. You
may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your
Charisma modifier. This is a supernatural ability.
What level do you use for this ability? Your class level of the Talontar Blightlord PrC?  Your caster level?  Your cleric level (even though you don't have to be a cleric to qualify...)?

Probably your cleric level RAW, dread necromancers have a similar problem in that they cant rebuke anything at all as they have an effective cleric level of 0.

That said I haven't met a DM yet who held that up.

Q 52 Is there an item that'll give you ranks in skills as if you were trained in it? Third party is fine. Looking for an item to give a PC Profession (sailor) to get off of a now deserted island. He'll find the item in a set of ruins long since forgotten.

Q 53:  Is there any way to increase my effective druid level, for purposes of what I can wild shape into?  I'm specifically referring to the HD cap, not the ability to wild shape into better forms.  A feat, item or spell would be ideal.  Basically, I'm looking for the wild shape version of Practiced Spellcaster.

We get this question once every what? Week? Less?

Anyway, it's in Magic of Faerun, it's an Amulet, and it's EXPENSIVE.

Got it, that's exactly what I was looking for!  I didn't see a reference to it in either druid handbook.  (The Quickstart version briefly mentions the XXX of the Beast trio of items from CC, but not this.)

Q54 Does a changeling dual specialist qualify for Master Specialist?  What do they get from it?

RAW, no, since it replaces Specialization, doesn't enhance it. RAI, you probably get both class features. Ask your DM.

No, because all breath weapons are (Su), which are not gained via Polymorph.  Shapechange, however, will give them.
