Q71:  I've been told that if you are on the ethereal plane, you can pick up a Ghost Touch weapon that is on the material plane and attack people on the material plane with it.  Is there any way to have both you and your weapons on the ethereal plane and still make melee or ranged attacks at people on the Material?
ghost touch arrows get it from the bow

Ghost touch weapons work both ways then?  If me and my weapons are ethereal I can attack people on the Prime Material plane?

No.  Pretty much nothing crosses from Ethereal to Material, though vice versa is definitely possible.

I disagree: Ghost Touch weapons work both ways.

Nothing in the description indicates that while the weapon is on the ethereal plane it can attack creatures that are on the material plane.

Mostly because it's assumed the ability to become incorporeal is so freaking rare among players that it'd never be an issue.

Strangely enough, ghosts seem to have the ability to harm people on the prime with weapons they had in life, no problem.

Q72  Is there a way for a melee sneak attacker to remain mobile and get sneak attack?

You need to expand this one, because by default moving doesn't negate sneak attack ability.

A72 Spring Attack into a Flanking Position and stab your foe.  Chronocharm of the Horizon walker lets you move as a swift action 1 / day.  Lots of stances and manuevers from Tome of Battle lets you move and/or flank in various useful ways.  Lion Totem Barbarian 1 lets you pounce, so would at least be useful in the first round of combat.

Do you need a way to gain the type on an already existing character (looks like it), or is being a race with the Giant type okay? There's a few of those.
Would PAO work?

Looking for ways to make other creatures into giants.  For things like Primordial Giant, for instance, as well as just being able to do it. (Wow, that monster is cool! I'd like to make that into a giant for my homebrewed world... kinda thing)  Just wanting something in the rules to do it, if possible.
Would the Half-Minotaur template from Dragon work? I forget if it grants the Giant type.
It's all about vision and making reality conform to your vision. By dropping a fucking house on it.

Not sure about half-minotaur either, but Half-Troll definitely grants Giant type.

Q40: Why not go with whichever Death Knight template you're using?  So if you apply the 3.0 template and use the 3.5 update, it gets no DR, etc.
The thing is it DOES get DR. It's DR 15/+1. The 3.5 update just doesn't tell you WHAT that +1 is now. Is it magic? Is it good? Is it magic and bludgeoning? There's three templates for three adventures. You can't have inconsistency. In Matters of Vengence it's DR 15/magic and bludgeoning and the CR is 12. In Savage Tides, the CR is 20 and just magic. It doesn't work like that. As they get more powerful, they're supposed to get better DR, not worse. That's like saying an epic iron golem has DR 15/adamantine, and then during the next encounter having a regular one with DR 15/adamantine and good, just because.

actually, yes it does. i don't recall offhand where it tells that but all of the dr(whatever)/+(something) become dr(whatever)/magic.

Q 61: If a creature has LA +4 (cohort), does that mean that creature can only be a PC's cohort?

i believe that actually means that when that creature is taken as a cohort, you have to boost the effective la by 4.

Whip-dagger from Arms and Equipment guide is a whip with a knife on the end that does 1d6 flat out, uses whip prof.
That's good for making it lethal, but what about the +1 armor bonus or +3 natural armor bonus?
A&EG, page 11
Quote
... Unlike standard whips, the whip-dagger's ability to deal damage is unhindered by armor bonuses and natural armor bonuses. ...

The whip-dagger is also found in Sword and Fist.
Yeah, it doesn't specifically say it can't go past armor or natural armor, so therefore it can assumed it does nice.

What's with that STR bonus +1 to +4 thing? Does a whip work like a composite bow?
It specifically says it ignores the restriction for armor and natural armor. He just quoted that.

And yes, it functions like the Mighty part of a composite bow.

if i recall correctly, doesn't this just refer to a whip's subdual damage being negated by anything with an armor bonus/ natural armor bonus of listed amount? as in the whip dagger's damage is NOT negated like a normal whip's subdual damage?

Q 70: What methods are there in official D&D books to gain the Giant type?

The only two I can think of right now are:

Half-Troll template (Fiend Folio)
One of the two or three construct templates + Incarnate Construct + being Large
Half-ogre template from Dragon mag doesn't cut it for me
well, what about the goliath from races of stone, the half-giant from xph, the half ogre template from savage species... and isn't there a half-giant template floating around in savage or one of the monster manuals?

Also, it should take 13 weeks to make a masterwork composite longbow for an average craftsman...

And what reference is your DM using for that bow time? I've only ever seen historical accounts of infinitely less time than 1 year for a good longbow...
I don't know. I do know that the players were getting rather uneasy when they heard that it would take 4-6 weeks for the bow, and it was 12 before the glue had properly set. When he was questioned, the DM became all-knowing and started preaching about how he'd looked into the actual time to make one because he knew we'd be questioning him.
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

Have you told him he's full of shit? Because unless he can provide a source for his "knowledge", I've yet to see a historical account say otherwise. In fact, down here in florida there are re-enactors who do this exact same thing without using modern stuff and it takes infinitely less time to do.

And yeah, check into the crafting skill times and such. 13-16 weeks is believable for a mw composite bow, but a year? Yeah right.

Minotaurs are monstrous humanoids, so I imagine the template is the same.

I've already listed half-troll (so far as I know, it is the only template that can turn just about anything into a giant without some weird template stacking.)

That's why you don't mix real life and D&D.

It could take longer, depending on whether the wood is aged, which is where the discrepancy apparently comes from - but if the wood is ready, then it's all about carving.
