I'm off work every day at 3:30 pm central, so you'll see me posting any time after that. I also come home for lunch at 11:00 am so I have a brief time then to come on here then as well. Wednesday nights I am typically unavailable until 10:30 or so as I run my weekly game that night but for the next two weeks my players are all on Vacations or business trips so I am SOL atm for gaming. So the sooner this one starts the better, least I can get a gaming fix from somewhere then  :D
Wisdom has two parts; Having a lot to say and not saying it.

Eliana Toiba Abijah in Isle Noir: Bad Karma.

Central Timezone, eh? Me too-- I live in Destin, FL along the Gulf of Mexico.

Generally, I will post twice a day. Once in the AM before I head to work, and once again at the end of the night before I go to bed.

If I'm off from work on a particular day, I tend to lurk about the site, checking frequently-- but that is assuming I've chosen to stay home (which is really what I'd prefer to do on any given day off...)

This weekend I had off, and I chose to read. I've needed a bit of a break from GM tedium and the second of the Mistborn series did just the trick! :clap

Take note of the poll question. I will be basing my starting time based upon the team's majority vote.

I'd rather not have any daylight... just seems bad for sneaking around killing things.

Besides, a team disappeared here. How much scarier is it at night than during lunch?  :p 'Ey, will there be a horror theme to this, at all?

I'm with Flay on this.  Darkness to cover our entry is of the utmost importance.  Of course, this means we'll need Night Vision Goggles...  :smirk

yea cover of darkness is key for an entry. Its going to put me near my weight limit again but i can get some NVGs. Also did we get walkie-talkies or do we not plan on splitting up or just picking them up on the island?

edit: oh and I live in central Louisiana, actually the center of cajun country if you look at the map on the cajun wiki i linked. So i'm in CST as well. I normally post while at work but can almost any other time as well. Working IT it is normally feast or famine when it comes to work so i could sit here all day or not be able to even log in it all depends on the people.

Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.
Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren

Yeah, well all you guys are in the Central Time Zone, and I'm way out in Japan.  Luckily the time zones balance out to a perfect inversion.  Your mornings are my nights, my mornings are your nights.

Sigh...well we're about to start and I haven't been able to get anything done... Most of my free time is devoted to trying to manage the rowdy bunch of people I got in my campaign...I'm up to eight now, have you heard?

Well, it seems like you have enough players, you'll just have to live without the cajun one for this one.  :bigeye

I've only played this campaign for a very short while but it was awesome! Enjoy you guys.

Seriously though, has Frank talked to you about Wednesday? The two of you and possibly Sam coming over for a "GMing Workshop"?-- Basically, I'll help show you how I prepare for a game, and some other really helpful tips as well.

Yeah, been here just over 3 years now.  It's pretty cool.  It's safe enough that little old ladies walk through back alleys alone without any trouble.

Here is another decision that the group will need to make:

A VERY similar vessel to the one that has been commissioned by ETL to bring your team to the island.

Now, questions for discussion:

How close do you want to get this freighter to the island before you depart?

How will you get to the island itself from the freighter? I'm sort of assuming that you will travel via rubber zodiac, but I will entertain other ideas if any of you have them.

I think the most important thing is that we have a mode of transportation to the island that can carry all of our gear, since we've got some heavy weapons, tool kits etc. and a lot of ammo...
