Yes Judging Eagle, I'm sure being easily capable of soloing this encounter, and likely every other one, is an example of not doing anything well.

I'm going to sit back and watch, maybe I might cast Mirror Image if they actually try to attack me. I think I'm faster then them though.

So, I'm wondering if my fire shooting is going to work on the plane of water:
Quote from: Tome
While Active, your Master Fighting Style allows you to shoot fire out of your hands or mouth as a standard action. The fire can be shot out to medium range, requires a ranged touch attack, and inflicts 1d6 of fire damage per character level if it hits.

any idea?

If it's supernatural, yes. If it's SLA or spell, need to make a DC 20+ spell level check or something. Pretty sure that all Monk styles are supernatural, and therefore work.

Judging Eagle: 19 targets. I am sure that is enough for everyone's weapons.

When you put it like that.....  :embarrassed

I'll try to live up to that goal.

Also, Prak, I seem to have misunderstood how Harmless Form always works, for a long time now.

I thought that it gave you a bonus to disguise checks, to make you look smaller, not that it changes your shape, and then provides you with an additional +10 to disguse checks to look like someone else.

Anyway, I'm grabbing Subtle Cut and Power Attack. Unless someone has a better suggestion for my [Non-Tome] feat?

Right, done and done.

Oversized weapons, and Large and Huge Size make me really want to change Jagged's build in this incarnation.

Nevermind, done. I think that aside from forgetting one or two modifiers to hit or damage or AC, that Jagged is pretty much finished with regards to build and such.

She now hits for.... retarded. Something like 9d6+26 or so (avg: 31.5; 57.5 per swing); and has over 300 hp.

She's a big girl. :3

Did we maximize our HP or something?

I thought we got max hp per hit dice?

Or are we rolling or are we doing Greyhawk HP (1/2 HP per HD + 1 + Con Mod).

It's not a big deal, I can change it.

Really, it's that she's got mostly d12 HD and a +10 con mod.

Perfect average.  Max at first, HD/2 +1/2 per level after that plus con.

Where is Extending from?  The weapon property.  I've never seen it before and I want to know for future builds.

A dragon magazine, it's really only applicable to hafted, flexible and reach weapons such as pole arms, whips, spiked chains. It doesn't apply to stuff likes swords, as much as I wish it would. I've got a gladiator mini that I like to use, and he's got swords that would work as reach weapons.

It pushes the reach of a weapon an extra 10'. Which is handier for things that can threaten adjacent, and good for polearms that are used in the third row in a group (tower sheild + shord sword in 1st row fighting defensively, long spears behind, extending longspears behind that; crossbows behind that; that's a pretty solid layer of offense imo.

The weapon property was in one about Drow; the Mezzoa-something campaign; a character has an extending something. The weapon property is written up on the sidebar. I'm not sure if I still have the issue, but I'll try to look for it.

Also, I've used up 8/11 AoOs this round. Unless we're only going to face 2/round, those things can seriously toss us around.

Ok, looked it up in Google

"Extending     Weapon Special Ability     Dragon 302 (3.0), p. 84"
http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:JuLzXw0w9OMJ:timjoh.com/dnd/%3Ftype%3DWeapon+extending+D%26D+weapon&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=7&gl=ca&client=firefox-a
http://www.enworld.org/forum/d-d-3rd-edition-rules/43656-reach-weapon-enchantment.html

I screwed up, it's +5' more reach for a +1 bonus. Not +10.

So, when the entered the 20' reach mark is when the 1st AoO goes off, 15' is the 2nd, taking a 5' step allows me to make the 3rd.

I won't get to make a 4th, unless the following question is answered: when casting from a wand, would a spell with a full-round action casting time go off at once, or would the user of the wand have to wait until the start of their next round for the spell to activate?

If the Enlarge Person that I cast in the first/buff round took effect, then this discussion is pretty much over. Also, my reach is only 30', not 35' as I thought of before.

[Edit: I forgot that I cast the buff in the "pre-combat" round. So of course I was Large]

I think that I'll pick up Whip-Daggers next time I build an AoO character; 15' reach base, +5 from fighter levels +5 from the special ability +10 from large size.

Oh, I've actually got a question for the next adventure. Do we have to use the same characters? I want to try out some other builds at high level;

One is a multi-armed, multi-clawed giant invisible Fienish Brute. (extra arms twice, large and Huge Size, probably a monk level to ignore DR; fiendish Invis, reliant on holding one's breath to remain invisible (and with the Con boosts of the Fiendish Brute class, and large and huge size, that could easily be nearly all the time).

An other would be updating my archivist, but it would just be an other persistant DMM self-buffed caster.

The Roland, Bear of the North build that Caelic wrote up is also interesting to me (it's a fighter 2/Cleric 1/Paladin 2/Chameleon 10/Witchhunter 5 build it's also a heavy DMM self-buffer, but I've tried the character at very low levels, and it was pretty resiliant even in it's 1st 5 levels).

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that we actually have one of those.

I allowed Dragon Mag on a case by case basis.  As in, if you didn't ask me for it in advance to use it you can't use it.

I don't think Judging Eagle actually knows what the word "ask" means.

Sorry, I was juggling a lot of things at the same time when building the characters and forgot to run that by you. Is it fine or not?

I'd rather not have to go dumpster-diving for an other wand to be able to use (on the other hand, a wand of Imp. Invis wouldn't be bad for use in combat-time, with reg invis for sneaking past stuff), but it's your game.

Also Kaelik, your character doesn't seem to have any ranks in Craft, yet you've got a mithril chain shirt for something like, 400 gold on your sheet. Did you ask Uber if you can give yourself a discount in advance without needing ranks in craft, or what? Because if you could do that, then I've got 17 ranks that I could throw into my knowledge skills, and boost those up a smidgen more, or put them into some other skill that will show up in regular use in game play.

Also, Ubernoob, how was the 7th lvl Fighter ability Forge Lore going to be treated? Is crafting not necessary or is having 17 caster levels when it comes to magic item creation any good?

Unless your class is craft based (artificer) you can't craft your own shit.  I'm just going to keep you guys at WBL.  No one level river.  And JE, please take off EVERYTHING dragon you didn't run by me first from your sheet.  Kaelik DID run everything by me.

He's talking about my crafted non-magical gear. IE, I made my own Mithril Chain Shirt using craft checks. And no, I don't have any Craft ranks, but it doesn't matter because Craft is not a trained only skill, and I automatically hit the DC -4 check to never waste materials without any ranks for the things I crafted. Therefore, by using Core rules only, I can craft my material. I did not feel the need to ask specifically about this, but I'm pretty sure I mentioned earlier in this thread that I was crafting my Armor, and had it okayed by Uber. I don't think he cares how I get my craft check.

Yes, you did mention it to me on AIM.  It was during the armor discussions.  And I said something to the effect of, "400 gp saved?  Do I look like I give a shit?"
