Wanted had roughly 30 minutes of action in a 2 hour film. And, only 20 minutes of that was good. It sucked more than Plan 9.

X-Files was horrible. Only watch it if you're a die-hard Mulder/Scully shipper and care of nothing else. The most entertaining part of the movie was when a disgruntled (and unaware) member of the audience behind me said, "Where's the f*cking aliens?"

Wanted was much more enjoyable.

Wanted was equally bad as X-Files. Let's compare shall we?

Wanted:
Highly Unorthodox Leader
Over The Top Action
Horrible Acting
Bad Plot
Predictable Plot
A Waste Of Money
Unlikable Characters
Taking Itself Too Seriously
Lack Of Action Scenes
Unable To Immerse The Audience
Let Down Some Audience Members
Angelina Jolie Naked

X-Files:
Mulder and Scully Awkwardly Blundering Around
Awesome Chase Scene
Incomprehensible Plot
A Lack Of X-Files Continuity
Lack Of Any Horror, Magic, Sci-Fi, Monsters, Aliens, And Anything Else One Would Want from X-Files
Predictable Plot
Taking Itself Too Seriously
Half-Immersion Of Audience
Let Down X-Files Fans
Mulder And Scully Kissing
Waste Of Money
I make little kids cry
Steady As A Goat
Warning: You may have already been set on fire

Well I saw Hamlet 2 the other day, and I must say it was not what I was expecting.  It was very good, but the whole highschool teacher teaching intercity kids  movie parody was a big suprise to me, and coming out of the film I had a strong urge to go watch Hamlet 2 as a musical.  I realy want to see the whole Hamlet 2 musical now, realy f**** bad (they only show bits and pieces of it at the end of the film).

Saw Star Wars: The Clone Wars this afternoon and it was alright.

I didn't expect to be blown out of my seat, and I wasn't, but I did expect to be entertained for an hour and a half, and I was. I think its more of a renter though, nothing I saw screamed 'see me on the big screen'. And it's a good lead in to the animated series coming soon to the Cartoon Network.

I saw You Don't Mess With The Zohan last Friday with my wife. Almost died of laughter. I didn't expect it to be highly intellectual, or, for that matter, above belt level, and it wasn't. But it was a hell of a good comedy with great ideas, cool characters and a crazy soundtrack.

Saw The Shining. Book is better in every way, shape, or form.

Amen, man. Amen.

i watched

the air i breathe

and

a guide to recognizing your saints.

i like both.. saints is better..

the air i breath has an all star cast... and with the exception that a plot point was cheese it was a pretty good movie..

saints great cast.. it reminded me of the womens house of D, another good flick..

i have a line up of movies to watch.. just have to bother watching them..

the new mike moore movie is tonights feature.. i dont expect it to be any better or worse than the others..

speaking of documentaries, bigger stronger faster is pretty good. its like a documentary on steroids..  its about steroids..

Happy Go Lucky - very nice. I like it when a movie makes me smile for half an hour after I've left the theater.

Really enjoyed Dark Knight, but that goes without saying.  IMO, the best scene was when... (spoiler for those who haven't seen it yet)
the Joker was blowing up the hospital, and something went wrong.  The confused look on his face and body language were brilliant!  Then, as he desperately mashes the button and the big blast goes, his panicked run was the perfect embodiment of a young boy who'd just put firecrackers in his neighbour's mailbox and was terrified he'd get caught.
Iron Man has FINALLY opened in theatres in Japan.  (I know, what the fuck?  Even Malaysia had it in the bloody spring!)  I'll be enjoying it immensely on Wednesday!

Aside from that, anyone who hasn't seen Evil Dead 2 yet, please do yourself an immense favour and get yourself to the video store!  Best slapstick horror flick ever made!

slacker uprising, the new mike moore docu-ganda was alright... it might have been better if i didnt know how it ended ahead of time..

its not as good as fahrenheit or sick or bowling... but its decent... it would make a good drinking game, drink when you hear the name bush.. or drink when you see bush..

or if you really want to up the ante, drink when you see anyone you recognize... you should be hammered in the first 20 minutes...

While waiting an extra 6 months after the rest of the world to see it, I gotta say it was well worth the wait!

Watched Charlie Bartlet tonight, and I must say it's been a while since I've seen a movie like that.  It was funny, pretty well directed, acting was good as well.  The biggest complaint I had was that it could have moved a little faster.  There were a lot of unnecessary silences and a lot of unnecessarily long silences and breaks.  But I do recommend it as a watch.  Rent though, not buy (I'm going to steal Chris Gore's system from now on).
