I think we should try to sneak in (or kick in the door) of Vraath keep, and try to find out what they're plotting (IC).

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

Due to its ridiculous versatility, I'm going to say no to getting shapesand retroactively, but you might find some soon enough ;)

Also, while I do have internet again, I don't have Office yet, so I can't access any maps I saved on my flashdrive just yet. In other words, don't get into actual combat until saturday, if I'm lucky, or otherwise tuesday. Just traveling and planning and stuff is all good though :)

Sorry for the delay, guys.

Well, that probably is the closest place where you might find some gobbos, aside from the occasional wandering patrol.

If everyone agrees, I'll get to work :)

In the meantime, what do you guys want to do with Jorr? You can try to convince him to come along, or he can stay in his cabin (no, he won't steal any XP or treasure :P)

Whatever, it's not my problem if you're doing more work than you have to. :P

If Jorr won't leech XP or gold, I'm all for having an additional wall of meat.

Bah. It's not like I'm going to try using it to make poison, or expensive spell components. I just want some cool armor.  :P I mean seriously, how cool is a desert dweller whose body is covered in stony plates, and who wears magically shifting armor made of sand?

You should replicate alchemical items with it.

I don't want to abuse it. I just want to do cool stuff with it, not make the DM ban it. :P

Ow, I wouldn't ban it with, say, alchemical items. That would just use up the sand :P

See... that opens the door for crap like Black Lotus Extract, though... Or 5000 gp diamonds for Raise Dead, etc.

I think it should be limited to things that could conceivably be made of stone/metal/etc, and that don't require some kind of dramatic transformation of the base properties of the sand (like turning into diamond... glass might be ok, though, since that's basically just melted sand).

Complete Mage has the Steadying Robe, which negates the unsteadying effect of vigorous, violent, or extremely violent motion on your spellcasting; you need not make a concentration check  to cast a spell under circumstances like riding a mount or even being on a boat for that matter. Have your mount move twice and cast at the same time, for the low cost of 1000 gp.
The party's casters should definitely get these... At least Goldilocks should. I think I'll get Kalal one, too. :D

That'll be funny. "Hey guys! I swapped out my full plate for this robe! Look, it's got wee li'l anchors on it! What a fun day of adventuring I'm in for! Oh, look, what's that small arrow-shaped object flying through the air toward me?"

Meh. My armor isn't even magical. So I can wear it over my armor and it will function just fine. It might be an issue later, though...

Hmm... if I wore armor with Magic Vestment on it, and this robe over it, would the robe still work?

I hate those "body slot" rules anyway... and tend to forget them... :P Is armor even a slot? I see robe and shirt listed separately, but not armor... I mean... I know you can only wear 1 suit of armor, but does it take up any of these slots? Or have its own?

That's body slot affinities, but not the actual slots.

This section lists "One robe or suit of armor on the body (over a vest, vestment, or shirt)"
