Something funny happened on my workout today. My coach (as I dislike the term personal trainer) told me we'd be trying a different kind of push-up today where you cross your legs and pull them up towards your head repeatedly. He said I should use some sort of support to do it though, so we put all the weights I have on the bar I use for bench-pressing, and then to make sure it wouldn't move he held it down.
So we got started, and lo and behold, the bar moved roughly six inches off the floor. So he started holding it down with both hands, pushing it down with his weight while we counted.
I still lifted it each time. All 54 kilograms of it, plus however many kilograms he was pushing down as force.
2 full sets of 70.
I feel pretty good about myself right about now.
