Alexi Laiho

Backstory: After studying for years in the martial schools of the Kingdom of heaven (crusader and monk levels), Alexi found his calling in music. He always ignored authority, and worked on his own in secret, away from his sergeants to develop a style of fighting that fit his personality better. He cared little for the rigid fighting discipline that his peers were taught, and instead worked on a free-form style that he could move and flow with. As a result of his ability to move so well, he is extremely good at dodging blows thrown at him, as if he were already moving away when the attacker was deciding what to do.

He is an incredible troublemaker, and the aspects of his personality which led to him developing this style of fighting eventually got him Banned From Heaven. As a final "In Your Face" to his old masters, he mastered one of the techniques of his masters and used it to whup some ass (took a crusader level at level 9 to pick up Defensive Rebuke or possibly White Raven Tactics, along with Bolstering Voice).

So yeah, he has 2 theme songs, Banned From Heaven, and to a lesser extent In Your Face.

All it does is replace a bonus feat with the ability to add Dex to ranged weapon damage. There are feats for that already, and Vital Aim is considered Precision Damage, so it's not as useful as say boosting Str and going with a composite bow...

Do you have access to Dragon 349?
It has a great comprehensive list of bows and crossbows, including non-magical upgrades.

If it's cool with you I'd like to use 2 of those upgrades.
One lets you wield your crossbow in melee and deal damage like a dagger, the other lets you wield it in melee and deal damage like a light mace (basically ad a bayonet and use it for pistol-whipping as well :D)

(FYI, the bayonets in CScou impose a small penalty to attack rolls, but can be enhanced separately and deal damage as a shortspear/spear, depending on the size.)
