I'll probably do what arc's doing, save my updated gear for next battle since my schedule's been crazy lately. I'll be able to post, and might finalize gear tomorrow or so, but I'll wait until next battle to have it update.

Sorry. I didn't realize that several of you still had gear to do. I'll wait a few days between this fight and the next.

Apparently I forgot about the Icelance focus, can I still swap one of the prot vs Evil potions for it?
Sure.

I have my equipment updated on my spreadsheet so I'll be able to update the character sheet after the fight. No major changes really. I got 4 potions of invisibility just to spend the last of the money and hopefully freak someone out with them.
Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.

I wanted to let you know my posting may be a bit sporadic over the next few days.

My second daughter was just born this morning. She was a couple weeks early, but she's quite healthy. I'll be in and out at the hospital for a few days, and I imagine I'll lose quite a bit of free time for a while, but I should still be able to post now and then.

If you guys want to finish formulating a plan, that works, too. You don't need too much from me other than if you have any questions about the area.

I've been sort of avoiding all this because it's mostly the Mages' show. I'm really not feeling this whole setup and it's been affecting my desire to contribute. I'll try to just power though it though.
Would you rather drop out? I'm not trying to push you either way, but if you're not enjoying this, I don't want to keep you stuck doing something you don't want to.

Well, this fight is the first time you really feel the classes weaknesses.
Theres no killer app direct damage(they use spell formulas), nor buffs that provide direct damage, which means its weakest point, the DR and resists, is significant.
Being immune to fire, plus resistant to most elements means that damaging spells don't work that well, with SR icing the cake(most of the spells that bypass SR go up against DR AND resists).
Battlefield control can work, but with teleportation and again, a lack of butt pounding ability means each control spell would be trading standard actions, with the thing getting a new position or escaping each time.

And since these classes are almost entirely BFC + Direct Damage, well it shows when both become ineffectual.

Means we're gonna have to hope to tie them up by trading standard actions and having the other members mob them one at a time. And hope that we outnumber them.  :p

Yeah, this was somewhat on purpose. I didn't put quite as much thought into it as Veekie did, but I figured at level 6, it's a lot easier to start using "non standard" encounters to see where the weaknesses lie.

I guess we'll have to see how things work out. Part of me wants each class to have some sort of weaknesses, but at the same time, I'd like them to have some tool to work with each situation.
