Smiling to Hearth, Dolos walks up to the door, touches the lock and says "Knock." The lock snaps open and he opens the door.

He stands in the entrance looking inside.

The door indeed snaps open easily, after the spell has been cast. It reveals a simple room with no furnishings. The floor is comfortable brown tile, and the walls are made of stone. A soft light comes from overhead, but no light fixtures can be seen anywhere. The ceiling is about fifteen feet up.

The only other feature in the room is a door, opposite the entryway. It looks to be a simpler door than the one just opened, it is wooden and has a pushplate on it for pushing it open. A quick glance at the hinges reveals that they are built with springs and looks like the door could open in either direction.

Hearth says to allparty members, but Dolos in particular:
Watch out! There might be traps in there, but I can sense magical ones with Detect Magic.
Hearth Casts Detect Magic and looks into the tower.
Detect Magic has duration of concentration up to 1min/lvl, I don't expect us to spend enormous amounts of time in there
Aside from the evocation magic emanating from the ceiling lights, the door that leads further into the tower radiates some sort of Conjuration and Transmutation magic.

Perhaps we could use something expendable to poke the door open? A room should be lived in, not left empty and barren.

Hearth informs the party of her magical findings:
Guys, the second door radiates some sort of Conjuration and Transmutation magic. I can not pinpoint the exact spells, but we better be careful!

Dolos tells Mack to stay on Hearth for now, brings his 10foot pole out from his Haversack, and moves carefully close enough to the door to poke it. As hard as it takes to open it, naturally.

The door is poked open, and swings shut as the pole is withdrawn. No trap seems to spring, however the magic aura continues to emanate from the door.

Perhaps it needs a living creature to pass through them to trigger it?

I pick a rat from my bag of tricks, Poke the door back open, and have it walk through. Naturally I dont retract the pole.

EDIT:Also, I do a spot into the next room while I`m at it.
And if the rat dont trigger anything, I`ll use my pole to hit the ground 3feet in front of and all the way 3 feet behind the door as hard as I manage at a distance.

Hearth moves more towards the second door, so she has a clear view into the next room with her Detect Magic

The rat scrambles through the opened door as Dolos startles it into scampering away. As it crosses the threshold into the next room, it disappears. Simultaneously, the door loses its magical aura.

It's possible to see partway into the next room, as the corridor starts curving away to the left. That room ((Call it room 2)) is as uninteresting as the room you're standing in.

Swyno is still holding open the door from the outside, and only two people are inside the tower right now.

After getting the thumbs up from Hearth, Dolos proceeds to nail the swing door open, door going into the room he`s standing in. Trying to pick something new from the bag proves useless, so he waits 10minutes until the spell that summoned the rat ends. He then picks the most lovely, long haired, pure white cat out of his mysterious gray bag and starts poking it into the corridor with his pole, carefully using its full length to stay at a safe distance. Shouting Come along, Hearth. I need your detect magic. He continues moving carefully forward like this until something happens.

Hearth sees all of this happening and makes a spellcraft check to identify the effect (she still has her Detect Magic spell)

The rat disappeared due to some sort of Conjuration [Teleportation] spell effect. It's unclear what the transmutation effect was, but it was somehow linked to the teleport.

Dolos and the cat continue through the second room and quickly come upon another unmarked door, somewhat identical to the door leading into room two. This door, however, radiates magic of the transmutation variety. Currently, only Dolos is in room 2.

I'm actually going to go against what I just said and take a breather here. I kind of want to see where the party is when the next trap gets trigg... er... disarmed. I don't want to accidentally make matters worse because one or two PCs ran off ahead and got disintegrated.

After the cat walks all the way up to the door, assuming nothing happens, Dolos tries to shove it open with his pole. If it opens he sends the cat scurrying inside, and does a spot check.

Mack, can I get one of those tools from Dolos's bag?

Swyno borrows a crowbar or hammer from Dolos and sets about damaging the hinges on the initial door to keep it open.

Jered, feeling a bit sheepish about waiting outside for so long, boldly follows the gnomes into the tower.  He will keep pace with the little 'uns, and join them in the second room.

Hearing Jered walking in, Dolos says Stay a few feet back, Jered. Theres some kind of trap on this door and I need room to duck if it tries to take me head off.
