Neull// -- I'm sorry.Last night I realized the reason why you and I have had differing opinions on LoS.
I've never actually played in a session of 3.5 edition D&D. I've never opened a 3.5 Players manual until last night when I went to go play with some friends. And I happened across the DnD LoS rules... and lo and behold, there in full color, was the image showing an unobstructed LoS established from any corner of the attackers square to any corner of the Defender's square.
So with that being said, I will be more mindful of this in the future, and less restrictive in my calls regarding LoS as long as they meet the above requirement.
d20 Modern was my introduction to third edition-esque rules. I had to teach myself the rules, asking a question here or there of the random DnD'er, and asking ALOT of questions on the WotC Modern boards. Two of my gaming groups never played Modern before, and I was the one to teach them how to play. Our DnD games usually consist of
"Hackmaster". I reference the DMG I & II for use in Modern, but there is a TON I just don't know about from DnD.
Anyway, I appreciate your patience with me as I discover these particular ins-and-outs.
