Is this overkill?
« on: September 21, 2010, 07:33:00 PM »
As a sort of challenge to myself, I decided to make a creature capable of ravaging worlds; at least, I hope it can.

Half-Dragon Spellwarped Tarrasque Bloodscale Fury 12 with the Passion's Flame Sovereign Archetype (I'm aware it can't actually take the archetype... unless it can. Haven't read those rules in a while.)

It has, among other things, Cleric casting with a CL of 48. It is almost impossible to kill in a straight-on fight.

Oh, and it has an intelligence of 9, so it can plan...

(I'm really thinking about throwing on that feat that gives Alter Form as a (Su) ability to dragons only. As well as spellfire. And maybe a level of Binder...)
Fighter: "I can kill a guy in one turn."
Cleric: "I can kill a guy in half a turn."
Wizard: "I can kill a guy before my turn."
Bard: "I can get three idiots to kill guys for me."

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
Sounds fine to me.
probably over on "Off-topic".
might want to put a little disclaimer in the first post.

This is the Min/Max board. We should be able to figure out a way to optimize the POWER OF PRAYER(TM) that doesn't involve "Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu".
My final project for my film independent study course. It could do with a watching and critiquing

What's the punchline?

"I am the Black Mage! I cast the spells that makes the peoples fall down!"

The Legend RPG, which I worked on and encourage you to read.

I think it might be in the timing of it all...  IDK...  I read too fast, I guess...

There are many ways to avoid such silly touch attacks. Wind Walk, don't give them a chance to attack, and kill them when they least expect it.

It'll probably be okay.

Actually, this whole project was meant to create a "natural" predator for the Tarrasque, if you will.

Plus, isn't there a feat that gives you NA bonus to AC? I have 7 feats free on this monstrosity, so that might be fun.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

So this Half-Dragon Spellwarped Tarrasque Bloodscale Fury 12 with the Passion's Flame Sovereign Archetype walks into a talent agency...

Well, I am planning on throwing on Naberius binding and Spellfire, you know, to fix some anoying weaknesses of the Tarrasque?

Besides, allips don't eat, so they can't be predators in the basic sense.

IIRC, it was also a half-white dragon, which is a huge reason it was far more dangerous (it could fly now).
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

You want a world-sunderer? Then you want a neutronium golem.

Yeah, it's not a "natural" predator. But if you want overkill, and I mean serious "what in god's name is wrong with you, get out of my basement" overkill, then the NG is for you.

It can't actually sunder a world. The blast radius is far too small.

The Strength check DC to remove weapons/appendages is more or less bullshit as well, since two neutronium golems fighting each other would get one round into the fight before standing there stupidly.

Actually, I take it back. They can't even hit each other except on a natural 20.

Actually:
Quote from: Neutronium Golem
A typical punch (averaging 225,526 damage) is fully capable of destroying a planet (an Earth-sized planet would have roughly 112,880 hp)
