Standard Factotum Advice here:

Fear+Poison+Iajutsu Focus= Death to most (if not all) enemies.

Take Imperious Command (Drow of the Underdark) and Master of Poisons (Same, I think) and some ranks in Iajutsu Focus (Oriental Adventures).  Use Minor Creation to spam Black Lotus poison.  Use Virulent Assassination Gnome Quickrazors for best effect (requires you to be a gnome or spend a feat).  Catch your enemies flatfooted however you can.  Confound the Bigfolk+Underfoot Combat or Gloom Razor are fantastic for this.  Grab a set of Fearsome armor and go to town.

For the price of 2-3 feats, some skill points, and a few thousand gp, you get:
-The ability to cripple any non-fear immune enemy by making them cower.
-The ability to insta-pop anything with a CON score that isn't immune to poison.
-The ability to do stupid amounts of damage to anything, including objects and constructs.

Of course, you'd also need a ranged attack capable of dealing decent damage to objects, since this is modern Earth, after all.

I strongly advise you look into weaponizing toads. Did you know that any magebred toad (just twice the cost of a normal toad) qualifies for shape soulmeld (dissolving spittle)? And they get +21 to hide, and size bonuses to attack.
More serious stuff:
1. Animate tanks, aircraft, the like.
2. Build a lyre of building, and get the cheapest construction company anywhere.
3. Make some furtive filchers to gather funds.
4. Sell tables of safe meals to paraniod people/the FDA.
5. Build an everful larder and get the ultimate fast food place.
6. Build a mobile base in the Bermuda triangle and have a Tornado's eye so Nobody can break in.
7. Use your imagination.

Of course, with your +stupid to skill checks, you can probably make a killing on the stock market.  Guidance of the Avatar + Max ranks + Factotum levels to check + masterwork tool (computer of some sort) gives 13+20+10+2 = a +45 to your check.  Taking 10, that's 55/2 =27.5 gp per week.  GP are fifty to the pound, so you have 8.02 troy ounces of income per week.  At current prices, that's an income of  USD 10,214.56 per week.

Of course, by the same metrics your 49,000 GP starting gold is worth roughly eighteen million USD.

Yeah... consider the possibilities.  Or implausibilities, even.

Anyway, I'd think that a Lyre Of Building (13000 gp) is worth the cost.

Construction equal to (100 people for three days) every 30 minutes.  A construction worker gets an hourly wage of about $15 an hour. Playing it for eight hours would earn you 8*15*100*3*16= $576000.  Pays for itself in under a week.

Plus the million dollars for the randi challenge, of course.

Planar binding could lead to the most exotic circus ever built, if you want to. Heck, you can easily run it in your spare time, if you want.

Also, plagues of undead which you then 'heroically' destroy. >: D

Have you been reading the suggestions? I don't think superhero is quite what most people here are aiming at.

Charge half price on labor and still get just over 2 million per week. Get a few people to play them for you and pay them 16,000 per week (just over $285 per hour). Each person is now a source of 2,000,000 dollars every week.

Well, you have to do it all in the same activation, and you get 1 activation/week... I don't think you're able to swap people in the middle.

Anyway, for doing damage, buy a couple Chaos Flasks (Planar Handbook p. 76).  Make a Diminutive object of barely contained antimatter or something.

Automatic resetting magic traps (spell turrets are probably the best) are awesome - unlimited castings of 4 different spells (they have to be the same level and class, but different schools.  Still, totally worth it).
