Druids aren't that hindered by it.
IMO Polymorphing Wizards are actually, genuinely, entirely bolstered by VoP.
VoP means a wizard can't have a spellbook. Still think it's a good idea.
For eidetic wizards it's playable, or in campaigns where the DM acknowledges that the spellbook thing is probably an oversight.
It's still not 100% benefit. Even a polymorph-heavy wizard benefits from having access to expensive components - especially a polymorph wizard, really, since Shapechange has an expensive focus. He also benefits from being able to buy scrolls to expand his spell list, from being able to acquire wands or staves of utility spells that he might not want to prepare every day, from having wealth with which to bargain in a Planar Binding, from having metamagic rods to bolster his buffs, from Pearls of Power for extra spell slots, and so on and so on.
Druids have these concerns as well, on top of Wilding Clasps and whichever armor enchantment lets the armor function while Wild Shaped.
