Q27:

Other than Shadow Blade, are there other ways of getting Dex to damage?
Are you wanting it for ranged or melee? Or doesn't matter?

For Melee, thanks :)

Q27:

A27
- Champion of Corellon class feature
- Deadeye Shot from DragComp gives half-dex mod damage to x-bows.

if 3rd-party is cool, AEG Feats has Superior Finesse, which lets you sub-in dex for damage on finesse-able weapons.

Champion of Corellon.. Hmm.. Elf is a problem. But thank you!

Arms and Equipment guide has the Fierce weapon property which lets you change your Dex bonus from AC to damage for the round, in a power-attack/combat-expertise kind of way.

Q39 Is there any way of acquiring Greater Dispel Magic as a 4th level spell?

Q39B Also, does the Inquisition Domain granted power allow you to exceed the stated maximum (+10) of Dispel Magic?

no.  bards get it as a 5th though.

I think you misread.  The +4 is a bonus to the check and not to CL, so it has nothing to do with the cap, which applies to CL.
Eh, the wizard have more money than them combined, he could in theory just use all his money on a fleet of trained attack mules, but then we aren't playing 3.5 but zergling rushing in Starcraft instead.

Q 40 Does a whip add Str to damage? I know in 3.0's Arms and Equipment there were strength whips, much like there are strength bows. Is this still the case, or not?

Q41: (Warning: Not especially simple) New guy in the party wants to play a Half-Elf ToB character going into iajutsu master, and I'm stumped for synergy. How would you do this?
Shh. My common sense is tingling. . .

Q 40 Does a whip add Str to damage? I know in 3.0's Arms and Equipment there were strength whips, much like there are strength bows. Is this still the case, or not?

Here's how whips worked in 3.0:

Quote
The whip deals subdual damage. It deals no damage to any creature with even a +1 armor bonus or at least a +3 natural armor bonus. Although the whip is kept in hand, treat it as a projectile weapon with a maximum range of 15 feet and no range penalties.

Because the whip can wrap around an enemy's leg or other limb, trip attacks can be made with it. If a character is tripped during the trip attempt, the whip can be dropped to avoid being tripped.

When using a whip, add a +2 bonus on the opposed attack roll when attempting to disarm an opponent (including the roll to keep from being disarmed if the character fails to disarm the opponent).

Here's how whips work in 3.5:

Quote

A whip used to be a ranged weapon with some of the properties of a melee weapon.  Now it's a melee weapon with some of the properties of a ranged weapon.

Since a whip is now a melee weapon, you can add your strength bonus to damage without buying a special version.

A41: Probably Warblade base with X Nightmare Blade, which makes the target flat-footed against the attack.  High Charisma for bonus to Iaijutsu skill and to damage.  At level 10 can probably lay down about 70 damage as a standard action, lots more if he (ab)uses Power Attack.  It's really not any more powerful than either an Iaijutsu Master or a Tiger Claw/Iron Heart Warblade on their own.

I haven't read the Iaijutsu Master PrC in ages, so I don't know whether the hallmark level 5 ability adds charisma to each die for Iaijutsu damage (which is not multiplied) or to the base damage (which is).  If added to base damage, then I am sorely underestimating the damage output here.

A 41: I'd take Iaijutsu Master only to level 5, just to get Strike From the Void (as mentioned above) for omega Iajutsu Focus damage.

Getting the Cloak of Deception maneuver through Martial Study might be worth it; considering it grants Greater Invisibility for one turn and thus guaranteeing flat-footed-ness for a full attack. I wouldn't dip Swordsage for it, since you'd lose BAB and thus delay Iaijutsu Master one more level and you really want 5 levels of Iaijutsu Master right away.
If I say something about real world physics, and someone disagrees, assume I am right 90% of the time. This number goes up to 100% if I am late night posting - trust me, my star dust sibs.

It's to each IF die. Iaijutsu Masters were the uberchargers of 3.0 before ubercharging. 9x your Charisma = OUCH.

Q43: How do you make a weapon keen, without spending an enhancement bonus, a feat, or a class level. I think there's some Scabbard that lets you do it... any thoughts? If it's under 20k or as cheap as possible, that's a big bonus as well as being able to be used by a noncaster.

A43 You are thinking of Scabbard of Keen edges,it costs 15000 gp...
Only it does not give your weapon continiously the keen ability but it lets you cast 3 times per day Keen Edge....

I think there's a spell that makes your weapon Keen to, probably named something lame like "Keen Edge", just get the casters to use a wand on you.

In my humble opinion, CO is haberdashery. Some say we're mad, but we can all agree we're hatters. Yes, we have potential to make very sophisticated hats, very fancy hats, be they dark or light. But the truth is that the color of the hat does not come from the group of us - our community doesn't directly produce hats. We simply give average head circumferences, list current fashion trends, and point out some shiny, obscure baubles to add to the latest hat line.
