q241 I've got an extra 2000xp at character creation that I'm not doing anything with. no templates fit the character and i have no room for item creation feats. any cool ideas?
Any way to cast Permanency? You could get some permanent effects.

Spellcasters can also work together to create items, and only the one designated as "the creator" at the end has to pay the XP costs. I'm fairly sure this person doesn't have to be the one that supplies the required feats, also. Even if your DM says they do, you could use your XP using these (if they're allowed).

Yeah, if you can make your own, those can be quite nice.

Q 248 Is it possible to qualify for this dweomerkeeper PrC without actually taking a level in both an arcane and divine class? I'm thinking of a Divine Magician type of thing. Su spell is so abusable!
The Southern Magician feat will do it. I forget where that's from, though. I think Dragon mag.
Races of Faerun or Shining South. I think it's the former.

This lets me basically just trade it away at a 1:5 ratio. Not that bad. 10k gold is nearly doubling my WBL.

WoL was something I looked at but decided against to be nice to the DM and for simplicities sake.

Q 249 Sure Striking from Races of Faerun. Don't completely understand how it works, so asking for confirmation. It's a +1 weapon ability that works like a +5 enhancement to a weapon against DR. So if a +1 sure striking longsword were to go up against a vampire with DR 10/magic and silver, it would get +5 to its damage to get past that. But if it was against a zombie with DR 5/slashing, it would do nothing because the longsword is already a slashing weapon. Am I reading this correctly? Now what happens when you fight something like a barbarian with 1/- or something with 3/evil? Does it still give you the full +5 to damage for getting past? And does that +5 also give you a bonus to attack against those with DR?
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

It's 3.0, and DR based on the + of the weapon was common (so a +1 weapon couldn't damage a creature with DR/+2.  )

So would the 3.5 version be something like Force or Transmuting, but now instead is worth +2 instead of +1?

Ah, updated in PGtF

Moderate transmutation, CL 6th, craft Magic Arms & Armour, align weapon, Price +1 bonus.

It overcomes DR as if it were Lawful, Chaotic, Good, Evil- whichever is most appropriate for the foe.

I found it in Races of Faerun, but it requires you to be a human from a certain region.

Is it worth it or is level 1 wizard or something worth the splash?

In my humble opinion, CO is haberdashery. Some say we're mad, but we can all agree we're hatters. Yes, we have potential to make very sophisticated hats, very fancy hats, be they dark or light. But the truth is that the color of the hat does not come from the group of us - our community doesn't directly produce hats. We simply give average head circumferences, list current fashion trends, and point out some shiny, obscure baubles to add to the latest hat line.

Is that such a bad thing? Humans are one of the best races for pretty much everything... and home region is just basically background fluff. Or does your DM run a non-FR game and not allow regional feats because he's a silly literalist?

Q250: Is Coffee, coffee beans, or anything remotely like the effects of Coffee statted up anywhere in D&D 3.5e or D&D 3.0e? What names do the (one? many?) drinks that have these effects have in the major campaign settings (Dragonlance, Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Eberron)?

I'm tempted to say I saw some in sandstorm... IIRC, it temporarily removes fatigue or something.

Arms and Equipment guide lists prices for coffee beans (50 gp/lb) and a percolator (1 gp).  A ring of sustenance reduces your need for sleep to 2 hours per day.  There's always lesser restoration.  A potion of lesser restoration brewed by a paladin has a market price of 100 gp.

Q251: I think I already know the answer, but say I use Ice Assassin to create a copy of some wizard who has his own demiplane. Can the ice assassin reach that demiplane? And on that note...

Q252: Where are the rules for accessing demiplanes spelled out? Or are they just implied in the Genesis description?

I think you're looking for Magical Training from PGTF, and if you need to qualify with a non-regional race you take 2 Ranks in Knowledge(local) (Races of Faerun, pg5). That should make it all legit.
