Q240. When i charge while mounted, does my mount get an attack too?
If so, if i manage to get my ubermount pounce and Ride-By-Attack (or Adroit Flyby-Attack), does it charge, full attack, and get away from there in the same round?
Nobody?
I looked in the PHB for this answer.
A 240: Yes, but I will point out a mistake you made about feats.
The Ride Skill Section of the PHB states "if you direct your warhorse to attack in battle, you can make your own attack or attacks with a free action DC 10 Ride Check".
If your ubermount got Pounce somehow, if it charges, it gets a full-attack. If you want to attack too, you have to make a DC 10 Ride Check.
If you had Ride-By Attack, used that feat, and your ubermount had Pounce, it would get a full attack because using the Ride-By Attack Feat means both of you charge. If you want to attack too, you have to make a DC 10 Ride Check. This case seems clear to me.
Your ubermount does not get Ride-By Attack. You, the rider, get Ride-By Attack. Your ubermount does not need Ride-By Attack. You need Ride-By Attack.
...
I just thought of a way to get Spring Attack lite for free. Get a halfling with 1 rank in Ride, Mounted Combat, and Ride-by Attack. Have the halfing ride you into battle and use its Ride-By Attack. You charge and get an attack. The Halfling can attack too if it makes a DC 10 Ride Check. Then both of you run away with a move action in the same direction you charged.
Add Pounce for full attacks on both sides.
