If you are a wizard you can be killed by a cat....

No idea why the hell I did that.

40.  If you can have a pet (ostensibly a few years old at most) that is a better melee combatant with it's claws/teeth than a guy with a greatsword who has trained from adolescence to be a professional warrior.

On a similar note: High-level monks and other classes gain immunity to being magically aged, yet there exists no method of magically aging someone.
IIRC, in 2E, things used to do that all the time. Wish is one that definitely did age the user.

Yup. Ghosts could pass through you and age you a year or more at a time, for example. The system also had potions for reversing normal and magical aging that could be obtained at low levels.

Oh, and creating ANY kind of magical item cost a wizard one point of Con, permanently.

Of course, randomly gaining/losing stat points was pretty common.

Random Wizard: "I really can't keep running this potion business. I mean, the blood loss is one thing, but do you know how hard it is to find extradimensional vials that will hold an entire pint of my blood along with the other potion ingredients?"
So you end up stuck in an endless loop, unable to act, forever.

In retrospect, much like Keanu Reeves.

IIRC there was a 2nd edition cleric version of Teleport called Dimensional Fold, that had the side effect of aging the caster.  (I think it was a spell in one of the supplements)

A potion of haste aged you one year.

My sylvan elf fighter was pretty old at the end of those campaigns.

It was one of the reasons why elves where broken.

Also the con cost was only for permanent magic items. Losing your familiar also costed a permanent point of Con.
Monks are pretty much the best designed class ever.

44.  As you gain levels, you become more resistant to or better at avoiding magical healing.  At level 1 a CLW spell will heal a nearly mortal wound.  At level 10, it heals only a scratch, even if cast by a more powerful cleric.

(Assuming you use the interpretation that increased HP make you more resistant to damage and/or better at avoiding it).

On a related note, 60+ years old crones also have a huge Charisma Score.

How?

It does explain how the lich has that High Charisma though.

Hmm, an average of 13.5 encounters per level as I recall.  About 4 encounters per day.  270 encounters per 20 levels.  67.5 days.  Wow... it IS only 2 months and change O.o

A pretty intense 2 months though.. no downtime =)
