Q 78. Kevin Video what are you currently playing in the game your all talking about.

Q 79. Does all this odd stuff your DM does make the game fun? Or just really dumb?
A half gold dragon half water elemental mineral warrior aquatic half elf mystic ranger/targetter/half elf paragon/human paragon/pious templar with a negative level.

It's not boring, but I'll leave it at that. Keeps your character alive so you're not constantly having to make new ones.

My brain exploded when I tried to comprehend what your character actually does, and what it looks like

Don't feel bad. You're not the only one. I'm also taking the demi-god epic destiny. But if you think that's bad, my next character's got it worse. About 9-11 LA, none of which can be bought off, and the DM can still add more. The worst of worsts, is apparently last campaign, one character died so much, and had so many LA, that his base saves averaged were +6 at ECL 24. This campaign, his BAB is +8 at nearly the same level, and he's the tank.

You suck it up and keep playing, leave, or try talking to the DM about how you can make the character worth anything.

Q 80. For GHOSTS. Whats the main diff between the Ghostwalk stuff, SS progression, and the MM stuff? What one would you choose to make a Ghost character or npc?
Ghostwalk has some setting-specific ghost variants.  I rather dislike how the mechanics are predicated on a specific city, and their afterlife setup is just boring and lame.  Ghosts are kind of weirdly handled, but it's relatively simple to toggle back and forth between being alive and a ghost.  However, getting cool ghost powers costs a ton of feats, and it focuses far too much on ectoplasm-related abilities for my taste.

The online progression is just the monster manual ghost sliced up by level.  The main difficulty balance-wise is the incorporeality at level 1, and the minimum cl 8 on the telekinesis ability; reasonable houserules to address these difficulties (or a campaign set up where they aren't as big a deal) are needed for balance.

It really depends upon how powerful you want them to be, and what role.  The LM variants add some interesting alternate powers (like major image at will), so there's that.

Q81: Incarnum Dragons can shape Soulmelds from the Soulborn List, but am I reading this right in that they don't have alignment restrictions on those shaped?
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Q82: Adding the primordial giant template on a half giant (which trades it 1hd for a class level). Would he still get the single spell-like ability at will? It says caster level = racial HD of which the half giant has none. Would this be min 1 caster level or would it be unusable, or would the Magical Knack push this to the required min of 1?

Thanks,
~Zym

Q 84. Can you use dispel magic on a 10ft radius, and dispel a characters equips/buffs if he is standing in that radius?

Q 84b. When dispeling a characters magic items do you have to specificly target said item?

Magical knack gives it a min of 1 so you would have a caster level of 1. Invisibility is always a good choice.

Q 85 Does the SPC cleric spell Infernal Wound stack with itself with each hit? It doesn't specify.

A85
A creature injured by a weapon with
infernal wound cast upon it loses 2
additional hit points each round for
the duration of the spell (regardless of
how many times it is struck during that
time).
The continuing hit point loss
can be stopped by a Heal check (DC
10 + spell level + your relevant ability
modifi er), a cure spell, or a heal spell.

Q 87. What is a capstone?

A86 Single Ability Dependent and Multiple Ability Dependent, respectively. It refers to how many ability scores a character relies on to be effective. A wizard, for example, requires Intelligence for his class abilities, and secondarily on Dex or Con for survivability. He could do well to have any of these three, but is only really dependent on his intelligence. Thus a wizard is fairly SAD. A paladin on the other hand, is meant to tank, making Con important, while his class abilities demand both wisdom and charisma. He'll probably need strength to a debatable extent as well. Thus he relies on Multiple Ability scores, he is a MAD class.

A87 The ability of a class (base or prestige) that you gain at the final level of the class. This determines how useful it is to slog through multiple levels of that class to gain this ability. Some, like the metamind's font of power, are considered strong enough that it can justify losing 5 levels of manifester progression, others are simply subpar. Like the sorceror's, making it more or less a mindless decision to take some other casting PrC.

Q 88 When multiplying armor prices for medium-sized nonhumanoids, and it's masterwork, do you multiple the 150 by 2 as well as the cost of the original armor? What happens when it's something like a mithral shirt for 1100? Is it 2200?

Q 89 The exotic armor and shields section in Races of Stone has a Gauntlet Shield. It says it can hold things, but can't use weapons with it. However, it can perform somatic component spells, and hold onto various items. I read this as "can't use to fight with a light weapon in that hand" as opposed to "can't fight with weapons at any time, even when trying to power attack." Am I correct in my interpretation?

Q 90 Is there a way for a Rage Mage/Bear Warrior to cast arcane spells in bear form?  Natural Spell specifies Wild Shape, so (arguably) does not apply...
