Q 226 If you're going to be 21st or higher for levels, and you take War Hulk, do you still gain +0 BAB, or do you gain the epic progression instead?

Q228: While I'm at it I can't find our "optimal weapon, shield, and armor" thread. You know the one where obturium mountain plate and tower shield math is broken down. We do have such a thread, right?

Bumping the question because I'm adding another one.

Q 229 What's the proper interpretation of Dead Eye from Dragon Compendium? It says that it adds your Dex bonus on damage rolls made with ranged weapons that you have the Weapon Focus for, but it doesn't say "replaces STR for damage" nor does it say "stacks on top of STR". How do you read it?

229 Since it specificaly says 'Add', I'd say add it on top of any other modifiers.  As you pointed out, it doesn't say 'Replace'.

229) I'd say straight adds on, since that's the default assumption.

ranged weapons typically don't add str mod to begin with (unless specified).  so the whole "add to" is with the basic assumption that the standard is that there isn't any extra damage.

but yeah, in the event that you are indeed getting str/int/whatever to damage, then I would assume that this stacks on top.

If you stop ignoring 289 pages telling what the intent is to stretch "more power" in your own god complexion of your interpretation trumps all to cover ability adjustments from aging then I will ignore a quarter page of rules that exist within a sidebar.
I think in this case the grammar is less important than whether the Str and Dex bonus provided to your created undead scales.

I have this thread...:
Strength

add proto for + 4 str and no (+0) LA

EDIT: Or add 2 LA to a warforged and take uncarnate construct.

Q230: What are some good PRCs for bonus free metamagic feats? Incantatrix is banned, and the character is level fifteen. Preferably 5 level PRC but doesn't matter. Easier entry requirements the better, so far Spellguard of Silverymoon is looking good.

Q221: Besides Jotunbrod, what other ways are there to get powerful build? (i.e. count as large sized when advantageous).

Q222: If a character with Jotunbrod is enlarged, does he count as Huge?

Q223: Do any of the other ways to count as larger sized work when a size other than medium?
221: Goliath.
222: No, large
223: Goliath
don't forget half-giant.  :)
And Eneko, though I'd forgive you for forgetting those.

Q 225: Would the Aptitude enchantment allow a Gnomish Quickrazor to be affected by the Shadow Blade feat?

...a particular type of
weapon
, such as...

Shadow Blade affects a group of specific weapons. Not a particular type.

A 230 Metaphysical Spellshaper (BOEF) would be even better and (I can't remember) is 3 or 5 levels long.

The epic progression overrides the regular table for any class. So you'd use the epic progression. It's funny like that.

Q231: Do armor spikes automatically do damage in a grapple, or do they require an additional attack roll (making them functionally a light weapon that does not need to be drawn)?

Mage of the Arcane Order, but you have to take one crappy MM feat to get in.

Q232: Are there stats for a cage of any kind (like the barred version of Forcecage, but made of something other than force)?

I'd like to make a shrunken "cage" to carry around with my wizard, to whip out over himself to basically work like a cheap version of the Cube of Force, but I'm not sure how to stat it out.

It would basically just be a big cage, made out of some mundane material, which he would unshrink over himself. If big enough, it would prevent people from attacking him without long, pointy reach weapons (like spears), or ranged weapons, and even then it would provide cover (basically like the "barred cage" version of Forcecage). They could spend a round or two hacking through it to get to him, though, unlike with a real Forcecage. The thing that's hanging me up is how hard it would be to destroy it. I know that's a function of whatever it's made of, but it should be weaker than a solid surface of the same material. (For example, a stone cage should be easier to smash through than a solid stone wall, I'd think.)
