Sandstorm.
[spoiler]Fighter: "I can kill a guy in one turn."
Cleric: "I can kill a guy in half a turn."
Wizard: "I can kill a guy before my turn."
Bard: "I can get three idiots to kill guys for me."

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
Sounds fine to me.
probably over on "Off-topic".
might want to put a little disclaimer in the first post.

This is the Min/Max board. We should be able to figure out a way to optimize the POWER OF PRAYER(TM) that doesn't involve "Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu".

Q142: Immeadiate Actions come before Readied Actions, yes or no?
Witty sayings? Nah, not right now. Currently playing Dwarf Fortress and League of Legends. I really recommend League of Legends.

Not sure if there is a official answer, but i say yes.

Will look up sandstorm tomorrow, Amechra, but i should note that a lot of DM's frown on Aptitude being used for weapon style feats.
Eh, the wizard have more money than them combined, he could in theory just use all his money on a fleet of trained attack mules, but then we aren't playing 3.5 but zergling rushing in Starcraft instead.

Q 143 There's an item that attaches to your belt that's basically a third hand, and can hold stuff for you. What's it called, and where can I find it?

A143: Its in the Magic Item Compendium, I believe it is called a Spare Hand, but I'd doublecheck that, as I don't have the book with me right now.

Still looking for a conclusive ruling on 142, if one exists.

It is there, thanks.

Don't know about official rulings, but immediate actions happen on anyone's turn.

Follow up: Q 144 Can a caster use a Spare Hand to hold onto a focus item while casting?

A144: Since it can be used to cast spells from wands and the like, and for all intents and purposes is a third hand, I'd say yes. Thats probably a DM ruling, however.

Immeadiate actions happen on anyones turn, but I'm asking if they interrupt readied actions. For instance, if a Dire Badger claws my level 1 Conjurer as a readied action, can I Abrupt Jaunt away?

I think that'd be a Concentration check for damage dealt, but otherwise yes.

Q142: Immeadiate Actions come before Readied Actions, yes or no?

Each comes just before the action that it was a response to.  This is only ambiguous if they are both responses to the same action.  In this case, it's really no different from determining which of two readied actions comes first or which of two immediate actions comes first.  I know of no rules for this, but I'd let the character who rolled a higher initiative at the start of the encounter resolve his immediate or readied action first (regardless of which type of action the other character has).

Immeadiate actions happen on anyones turn, but I'm asking if they interrupt readied actions. For instance, if a Dire Badger claws my level 1 Conjurer as a readied action, can I Abrupt Jaunt away?

The dire badger's readied action is not a response to your abrupt jaunt, so there's no reason the attack should come before the abrupt jaunt.  Your immediate action is a response to the dire badger's attack, so your abrupt jaunt comes just before the attack.

Q142: Immeadiate Actions come before Readied Actions, yes or no?
A 142

Neither. It all depends on when which ability goes off, since both can interrupt actions. If someone's readied action is triggered and you use your Immediate action ability to interrupt it, the Immediate action goes first. If you use your Immediate action and someone had an action readied to go off when that happens, the readied action comes first. Think of it as a reverse High Noon showdown: whoever shoots last wins. Alternatively, if you play MtG, think multiple Instants on the stack.
It's all about vision and making reality conform to your vision. By dropping a fucking house on it.

Q146: When adding damage to elemental damage, is it considered elemental as well?

For instance, if I have Dissolving Spittle as a soulmeld (1d4+1d4/Essentia Acid Damage with 3 essentia) and Bluesteel Bracers (+1 damage/essentia with 3 essentia) for 3d4+3, is all the damage acid? Are the dice acid while the +3 is untyped?

Q147 Does Endarire type out the URL for his Hood thread because he has posted it so much he has it memorized, or does he copy-paste it in each time? A third option would be: He uses Windows 7, and has the board code for it sitting in a Sticky Note he copy-pastes in.

A146All the same type, unless stated otherwise.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...

Q148: How do temporary hp interact with nonlethal damage?  Do you lose them when you take nonlethal damage or do they just stack with your normal hp for determining how much you need to take before being knocked out?
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

They should count towards your "threshold" for determining how much non-lethal damage it takes to knock you unconscious, though.

Im sorry but:

Nybor's Joyful Voyage
Conjuration (Teleportation)
Level: Sorcerer/Wizard 7
Components: V
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Effect: Creature touched
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will partial (see text)
Spell Resistance: Yes

This spell functions like teleport, except that it teleports another creature (willing or unwilling) rather than yourself, and the target location is random (you do not need to visualize the destination). Determine the destination with the following table.

d%  Teleport Direction
01-10 North
11-20 Northeast
21-30 East
31-40 Southeast
41-50 South
51-60 Southwest
61-70 West
71-80 Northwest
81-90 Diagonally down (roll again; 80+ means straight down)
91-100 Diagonally up (roll again; 80+ means straight up)

The distance traveled is always 1d100 miles. Upward teleportation means the target arrives in thin air and probably falls to its death. Downward teleportation normally means the target is encased in rock. If the destination is within a solid object, the target takes 1d6 points of damage and is shunted to a random open space on a suitable surface within 100 feet. If no free space exists within 100 feet, the target takes an additional 2d6 points of damage and is shunted to a free space within 1,000 feet. If there is no free space within 1,000 feet, the target is fused with the solid matter and dies instantly.

If the target succeeds at its Will saving throw, the target instead takes 3d6 points of damage +1 point per caster level (maximum +25) from teleportation feedback.

As with all touch spells, you can cast this spell on yourself, using it as an error-prone teleport in an emergency.

Nybor invented this spell as a creative way of dealing with people who bothered her. The "joy" in the spell's name refers to her joy at seeing them leave rather than the target's joy for the journey.

149:  Can you disregard and allies concealment when delivering a touch spell?

As per PHB pg 140 in the Touch Spells in Combat section:
Quote
You can automatically touch one friend or use the spell on yourself, but to touch an opponent, you must succeed on an attack roll.

Had it come up in a game last night were I was attempting to put True Seeing on my Swiftblade ally.  DM ruled had to overcome concealment.
