Q 269 Okay, so same creature. It's now got 22 HD for it's creature level. What happens now if I add levels of Fighter and Rogue to it? Does it still progress as if the creature was actually level 1 and cross-classing? What if the creature, if you add a spellcasting class, increases the caster level and the spell progression? Like the ethergaunt which counts as a 13th level wizard, and giving it 2 levels makes it progress to a 15 level wizard with all the spells. What happens when you're an ethergaunt/wizard 7 and want to take an 8th level? What do you do then?

A 269: BAB and saves would start the Epic progression (only racial HD are exempt from that).  Spellcasting is its own progression and so would follow normal rules until you hit the casting ability of a 20th level Wizard or the equivalent for other races.

And yeah, no. Feats didn't really exist back in 1st edition for the point of being used in 3.5. It's in Dragon 330 as Archao pointed out.

A grapple check, I would think.  Shouldn't be that much more difficult than inanimate objects with your strength and size mods.

thats right ... Feral Phrenic Pixie .... much better flavor than undead Ghost, better stats also(+6 Dex,+2 Con,+4 Int,+8 Wis,+10 Cha, Fast Healing 2, Darkvision, +7 Natural Armor on top of all the Pixie goodness) ... cuter too

There's a bit of an injoke going on; I don't think he was entirely serious. 

My standard advice for templates is to look at the unseelie fey template from dragon compendium (the example character lists it as LA+0), and toss on a few levels of the ghost savage progression linked in my sig, since that's never a bad idea, and qualifies you for evolved undead.

Ghostly Grasp feat in Libris Mortis lets you handle corporeal objects despite being incorporeal.  Anything Ghost-Touch can be handled by incorporeal creatures.  An artificer should be able to manage it.  Hell, just make Ghost-Touch spiked gauntlets that grant the wielder/wearer the Ghostly Grasp feat, if nothing else.

Well, it could work with a Lichfiend Balor, but Spellstitched only gives Conjuration, Evocation and Necromancy as options, not Transmutation...

A 270 The Spear Master feat is from Dragon #330, p89. It allows you to use a spear or shortspear as a double weapon, with the blunt end dealing bludgeoning.

Wouldn't that effectively just be Short Haft, from the PHBII?

Damage Reduction/Evil is generally overcome by evil weapons (unholy, etc), not by evil creatures, correct.

So if I pick up an evil Halfling or Gnome and use it an improved weapon, does it automatically overcome DR? I mean it IS an evil weapon!
