Just to let you guys know, session 1 was the bomb. I went for the goliath dungeon crasher and he kicked ASS!
I critted and managed to deal Massive Damage (50+) on one of the orcs.
Oh, that's always nice. I remember when I played a goliath crasher I did about 100 damage with a crit at level 3 or 4. (Yes, a x3 weapon and probably via Emeral razor - which I shouldn't have had at that level...hmm.) Or maybe it wasn't 100, but it was pretty ridiculous, may have been just 75. Considering that I had just killed my mirror-match with that crit was hilarious.
There was another funny scene: For some reason we thought meleeing people in a grapple caused a miss-chance - and the chance to hit the wrong guy. So our wizard was being grappled by some minor mook, and I attacked the mook. We rolled the erroneous miss-chance and... the following dialogue occurred:
Me (to wizard): How many HP do you have?
He: 28
Me: Er... those are gone now.
He: Wha...
The funny thing: Crashing doesn't really keep up with the other damage one can dish out, at least if you only dip Fighter2, and eventually I was hardly ever doing it anyway. It was a really good low-level tactic, though. I was thinking of retraining it away already. Now Knockback itself NEVER runs out of options, and it's the No.1 reason to play a goliath.
