Not people, orcs.
Monks are pretty much the best designed class ever.

Racist, haha.
But according to the rules, if you sacrifice 56,000 orcs you get... 56,000 more orcs, ha. WHERE DO THEY KEEP COMING FROM?!

I wonder what you could get for sacrificing 56,000 people....

BoVD sacrifice rules, you only get 1 benefit per day, and only 1 person sacrificed gives you that benefit. Wish is only a 1 time benefit as well.
However, you can generate a ton of Dark Craft xp.

I'm pretty sure it also qualifies for an act of genocide to trigger "Darkness like the world has never seen before" also from BoVD...

So we need an extremely crazed Knowledge check, maybe a Factotum build, to gain an insane amount of Dark Craft xp and gold to make something stupid.

Might be more entertaining to trigger an Elder Evil, unless that's what you were thinking of...

Actually I have no idea where to take it from that idea. What ever would be made would have to be done in bits and pieces as it says only one application of Dark Craft Gold to something. So perhaps a giant citadel, evil-brick by evil-brick. A giant evil tuning-fork, hehe.

Anyone know of a way to trap the souls of all creatures within a large area?

Sacrifice for Dark Craft and then use their souls for extra power....

Thanium alters?
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

That explains so much about my life.

Why would you even do this? It hurts my eyes and looks like you ate your keyboard before suffering an attack of explosive diarrhea.

If using Genesis to hide your phylactry, set it at -300 degrees farenheit.  See how do-gooders fare with a liquid atmosphere.

Thrallherd + BoVD Sacrifice loop = infinite Limited Wishes + Dark Gold + Dark Exp + pile of commoners stuff.
Not bad.
Obviously pales, relative to specific 6s and 7s, and higher spells, still not bad.

There was a TO-board thrallherd chain build, that explored how big that follower semi-loop got.
No where near as big as an Epic Followers type thing.

It's questionable about how to get followers to "worship" you.
Charm Person + Hypnosis = Fanatic ... but how long and how much re-fanatic-ing to keep it up?
The one Dragon PrC gets Divine Rank zero going, but around level 42 (officially).
Ice Assassin cheese gets (at least) one DvR too.
Yes I know about pun-pun's infinite dvr ... as a best case scenario.
How these all interact, shrug shoulders?

iirc - there is a way to get a Loop going on the level 6 followers, then getting Leadership themselves at max.
I don't remember how it works.

In other words, he thinks there's a "correct" way to play D&D.  *sigh*
There is: Kill shit and loot the corpse!
When you use a tool the way it was designed for -- its intended function -- then it will work very well for you.

But it's not the tool's fault if you use it for something else and you fail utterly, such as trying to eat cereal with a butterknife, pounding nails with a screwdriver, blogging to voice your political opinions, and brushing your teeth with a hammer.
