Aerial Fighting Duck
« on: May 20, 2010, 09:05:20 PM »
I'm working on a character for a campaign where all the PC's are escapees from a mad wizard's lab, and thus unusual at the very least.  I want to play an awakened duck based around aerial fighting.  I was thinking I'd use a combination of Stormtalon from Races of the Wild (DM says it's ok as long as the creature using the class has talons which this duck will)  :)  and Aerial Avenger from Dragon Compendium.

I figured I'd go for a base class that nets me +2 Ref save then go into Aerial Avenger until I can get into Stormtalon at around level 8 or 9 I think since Stormtalon requires a +5 BAB.

Any ideas to make this a viable build?

BTW the Duck's name will be Howard.

On my planet we don't say Die, we say Kill!

Needs Monk progression unarmed damage.
It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.

The comics were... interesting. The movie was painful.

When I first glanced at this thread title last night (or rather this morning... at like 2 AM), I read it as Anal Fighting Duck, and I thought "Ok... that's a weird character concept."

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

As some one who had ducks growing up I can say those little bastards could get mean and tear you up with their webbed feet.

Hey i liked the god awful movie that was Howard the Duck, it was like watching SyFy channel movies that are so bad you can't help but like them.
Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.
Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren

That is always a fine source of entertainment, it is also best with friends to do the whole MST thing.
