Of course, I am thinking about the dwarven civilizations that are composed of questionable dwarves--obviously.
Obviously those walls are made of booze, which should be sufficiently water-like to be held into blocks with the spell.
When invaders come, release it, and drop a spark.

And the things it reflects in, like water or glass, can all be broken, right? Control water: Turning a 25G vial of holy water into a death trap for Ravenloft, necromancer fortresses, AND the lower planes!
Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

If anything you'd have an elite fortress guard of fireproof drunken masters.

That's basically Dwarf Fortress, right there.

I actually have a water cannon in my current fort. I use water instead of magma so I can better harvest the leftover goblinite.

Goddammit, I just came from that forum and forgot where I was for a minute.
So you end up stuck in an endless loop, unable to act, forever.

In retrospect, much like Keanu Reeves.

I've used Control Water exactly once, but it was sorely needed. The PCs were in a ship that had sprung a leak. My cleric use Control Water several times to keep the water level down and give the druid long enough to patch the leak (with Wood Shape). Later of course we had to fight the monsters that poked holes in our hull, but we managed to avoid the monsters that would have attacked if we were forced to beach the ship for repairs. Not sinking was also nice.

Step 1: Either not need to breathe or get water breathing.
Step 2: Trap foe in a resilient sphere with you.
Step 3: Fill it with water... nothing goes in or comes out of a resilient sphere. This is the tricky part though...
Step 4: Use control water to mess with them?

Better if you cut it's setup in half with two casters. Something like that, maybe?

Anyone know if the skin of an airborne water balloon blocks line of effect?

"Your mom blocks line of effect."

But no, really, anything can block line of effect if it can occupy the right 5 ft square(s).
It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.
