Actually since you're reslotting to match affinity, rather then to unmatch, the price goes down to 80k, cheaper than your graft by 40K
Really? I would have thought it would have increased it by another 1.5 at least, but I guess eyes for eyes makes sense. The problem is if it would still work the same. Say you got it as a pair of glasses. The benefit the robe had was it literally saw 360 degrees. A pair of glasses wouldn't do that. I guess it could be argued either way though.

Magic? Did a wizard do it? The Lucy Lawless rule?

Q 32a What's the highest starting gold a character can get at 1st level, and what class is that? Rogues are 5d4x10 for 200. Anything better? And don't say Samurai from Oriental Adventures which get two masterwork weapons (short sword, bastard sword). :notlistening

Q 32b What's a good starting amount of gold that's fair for everyone? I was thinking 250 gold, but if there's a class that gets more than that, I should probably consider going that route, or higher.

Why not.

well, makes sense logically, but changing the slot doesn't change the effect.

you forgot taking arcane mastery for three spells that you can make do with until you can get a new spellbook.

No, too complicated.  The calculation only takes place at level up, which is susceptible to DM fiat.

Q 19: If I posses an elemental subtype, and therefore the immunity, how can I become healed by damage of that energy?
Bump

A 19: I don't think there's any direct way except maybe through spells or items. I remember back in 2ed that a high enough energy resistance turned damage into healing... although I might be getting my Baldur's Gate stuff mixed up in there.

Lesser mechanatrix.  It's a 3 points of damage to one point of healing ratio, but far better than nothing.

And as for starting gold:

Wizard.  Then sell your spellbook
A wizard only gets 3d4x10=120 gold max, then buy a spellbook for 15 gold, then sell it for 50 gold a page? Yeah, that's a lot of money.

But that's still cheating. That's almost as bad as the samurai, except they can't sell their weapons. I'm talking normally.

Q20: If using the ShadowCraft Mage(Pg120 races of stone) ability Shadow Illusion to mimic casting an Orb of fire, would a ranged touch attack still be necessary?

Q29 Does Blur and Displacement stack with each other?
A 29

Yes, but not in the sense that they give you a 70% miss chance. Instead, anyone attacking you needs to beat both the 20% miss chance and the 50% miss chance. So the effective miss chance would be 60%.

I always though no forms of concealment stack... ever.  You only get the benefit of the highest bonus.

I'm attempting(will save) to make someone believe that they've just been hit by a orb(which is all in their head) and i still gotta make a RTA? that blows.... :banghead

Yep. And it's not all in their head. It's partially real. Even if they make the save, they'll still take some damage. Until/unless they get 100%+ reality even on successful saves, it is a reason why SCMs aren't as uber as everyone talks about, though. Of course, they're still uber, and eventually they should get near the 100% reality mark on a successful save, but if you have to suffer through the middle levels casting spells with two saving throws, or a save + RTA, it is pretty annoying.
