Protecting Controlled Undead from Pelor Clerics?
« on: March 30, 2010, 11:28:21 PM »
Alright so Good-aligned Undead-hating Pelor clerics can really disrupt a Necromancer's undead.  What ways are there to protect the undead from Turn Undead?

Life Ward (SC).  Makes the target immune to Positive Energy effects (including turning!) for the duration of the spell.

Alternatively, get a bunch of Quells (Libris Mortis) to cut off the Cleric's divine connection.  Watch him flounder as he can't turn or cast spells.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Why would you even do this? It hurts my eyes and looks like you ate your keyboard before suffering an attack of explosive diarrhea.

The point of Spell Resistance is to make it harder to get buffed.
And healed. Don't forget that.

Yes, I'm the 3.0 "Masters of the Wild" shifter, the awesome kind. My favorite form to take is Force Dragon. Yes, I am immortal ... My character is hands down the coolest guy in the campaign and there is nothing I could possibly want.

Use disguise so they don't look like undead.  Clerics don't have spot, so that should hold up for long enough to get through the battle.

make him decide between healing his party or killing your undead. And all of the stuff the other guys said.
Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.
Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren
