Q206: Do wizards automatically get 10th level spell slots as per normal progression i.e around level 19 or so? Or do I need to take some feat or smth to get them?

Unless someone's absolutely on crack, Wizards only get 10th level slots at 21st level, and only if they take a feat.
:bigeye wow...10th level slots are that bad? Firstly there are no 10th level spells, so the first thing that comes to mind is persisted spells taking up those slots.
it's an epic feature.  you take exanded spell something, and get a spell slot 1 higher than the highest level spell you can cast.  and yes, it is really only good for metamagic and other such shenanigans.
Of course with Earth spell (RoS, Needs earth sense feat & Heighten spell), Sanctuary Spell (CArc), and Extra slot (CArc) you get a spell slot 1 level higher than your highest one. Take Extra slot twice and retrain the lower one into Extra Slot (repeat). This gets you 2 spell slots that steadily move up in level.
With the epic feat you could get 3 levels higher.

Q 210: Is there any errata on the Versitile Spellcaster Feat(RoD, pg. 101)?
Not that I know of.
No ruling stopping me from using it to merge spell slots from sorcerer, favored soul, bard or any other class with spell slots?

I was curious to see if anyone had seen a shadowy, maybe illusion related, version of a slaymate.  I love the idea of a child's shadow made physical but I can't figure out an ability for it. Giving it the slaymate's ability shifted over to illusion could get rather silly.

yeah, as if SCM needed to be able to cast mythals at even lower levels.

Exactly why I was looking for another ability to fit the flavor.  I'm already going to have to put allot of points into book dodging as it is.

Q211: I need to contact Richard Burlew (he runs GitP). Does anyone know if he has a handle over there that he answers PMs with? Or his email? If so and you prefer to PM it please mention here that you've done so.

Could one take 10 on initiative? The situation is about to become threatening, but combat hasn't begun yet, nor are you distracted by the fight.

I think no because the situation is by definition threatening if you are rolling initiative. Rolling initiative signals the beginning of combat, and hence I'd say that you're in combat when you roll it.

Thanks. Just wondered. The section about playtesting monsters in the MM mentioned that the party and the monsters should take 10 on initiative, but it didn't say wether that was just because it's less dice rolling or wether it is a legal tactic.

It's most likely suggested so luck doesn't get in the way of, y'know, playtesting the monsters.

Savage Species I think? And no, it's a melee weapon. I guess you could make it Throwing and Distance though.

A213: There are also the Gloves of Man and Arms of the Naga from Savage Species.  Both items will allow creatures without hands to wield weapons, although they do so in different ways.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Masters of the Wild
Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"
