Q. 143

Where does it say that unarmed strikes are considered natural weapons? My DM's being iffy about the subject..

A143: They aren't. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20070403a

Only a Monk's Unarmed Strike counts as a natural weapon. That's where the confusion may stem from.

Q 144 In PathFinder it blatantly tells you straight that Flurry of Blows counts as the Two Weapon tree. Does it count as that in 3.5? Got a player that says it doesn't so therefore he can take the two weapon tree, and snap kick, and gain a huge number of attacks.

A144  According to the 3.5 Main FAQ, a monk can combine the TWF tree with Flurry of Blows.  Here's the relevant portion:

a two-weapon attack with a flurry of blows? What are her

Well, Rapid Shot and Snap Kick are pretty much the same, so I guess it does work out. Dang. He wins, and will get what he asked for.

Let him. Just remind him he's taking a -4/-4 for all attacks until level 11 (as if even the PF Monk is playable to 11th).

He seems more than okay with that. He'll be taking Weapon Focus to make it -3, and his call is that his STR will bring it up even more, and the fact that he's got two more attacks is what's really making him happy. *shrugs* He's already picked out items that'll give him haste so he'll have yet another attack, as well as take a LA for his marilith heritage (two more arms). Then there's the rest of the TWF tree. As well, he's going with the rage monk that gets Rage 1/day which he's switching out for the Frenzy ability, giving him another attack again. All of these attacks are pretty much all he's really concerned about. I'm sure it's because he figures that with all of those attacks he's very unlikely to miss too many times. We'll see. The red dragon pulled it off, so maybe the monk will too.

Also, the PF monk is much more playable now with its update.
Then show him that merely negating those penalties isn't enough. Throw a Displacer Beast with a higher than normal AC (or Swordsage/Totemist levels) at him.

Regarding Pathfinder in general: Nothing anyone says can convince me that Jason and his flunkies can fix anything in 3.5. Personal issues.
It's Lichloved. But I was ignoring that because it has... let's say, some less than agreeable RP requirements?

A player once asked me if there was any way to make a Tarrasque more evil... 3 sessions later he was stoned with D20s as the PC led an exidus out of the path of a Dire Tarrasque of Legendary Wonder.

I don't see why. Move 10 feet, or 20 feet with the feat that gives you more bonuses, but only make one attack. Now we're trying to argue with the DM that if he took Pounce (which you can only get in our campagins if you're not human -- he'll be part marilith).

Then show him that merely negating those penalties isn't enough. Throw a Displacer Beast with a higher than normal AC (or Swordsage/Totemist levels) at him.

It'll be up to the DM as to what we'll be facing in the next pre-made campaign module. I'm more of less trying to make or break arguments so they'll stop being petty already. Granted I was originally siding with the DM on the TWF tree for monks, but that's why I come here. The answers are usually quite clear.

The rogue, ranger, paladin, sorcerer, and fighter seem pretty good to me. That, and the whole 1/2 caster level is now gone and replaced with CL -X based on when they get spells. Just take from here and there really. Don't need to agree with everything. That's why we have house rules.

Q 146 What's the name of the LA +2 psionic human race that's unable to become an arcane spellcaster, and where can I find it?

EDIT: The karsite, and it's in Tome of Magic. It's also not a psionic. It just use psionic powers because they can't cast arcane or divine spells.

The Wild Defender ranger variant gets it at 3rd level, the same as the druid.
