Need a suggestion
« on: October 15, 2009, 04:00:54 PM »
So, my plans of originally playing a badass necromancer has been replaced by completely owning everything as an Arcane Hierophant(Druid4/Wiz1 with precocious apprentice that will get retrained). As a necromancer I was planning on creating an "airship" per say, and by airship I mean "A castle or fort on the back of an undead dragon". This plan will no longer go as Druids hate undead and my DM is one of those guys who love fluff(was able to get spellstiched through my background), but I still want a really unique airship. The DM promised me we will get an airship and he'll work with me to get whatever I want(he would have gave me a colossal+ pyroclastic dragon corpse). So my thoughts are "I should put our base on an animal now" and there is where I need help. Could anyone suggest a big ass creature we could put a fort/castle on? I know I could slap the titanic creature template on something, but I thought you guys could give me the most optimized suggestion.

All books are cool(3.0/3.5/3rd party/Dragon)

titanic psudonatural dire tortoise of legend.  :twitch :lol
Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.
Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren

Forget about the pseudonatural thing, and give it a template that adds 4 Elefants on top of it.

You could ask about some sort of extradimensional space or a teleportation circle to connect to a larger structure.

While we're on the subject of turtles - grab a Zaratan (Arms & Equipment guide aswell) - that should give you quite a bit more space to work with than most other Colossal creatures.
Though I agree, find a way to make it fly and stuff 4 elephants on top of it, just because  :lol

A small island is definitely enough space, though the weight issue may be a problem. Thanks!

The A&E Zaratan is disappointing. In 2e it was a 350' diameter creature.
