I'd suggest something 1/ghost 1/something 3, buy off your first LA, then take another LA of ghost and move on.

If you are going to have Rogue in there, why not make it the 1st level for more skill points.

the problem is once i am second level i take the first level of ghost... i dont have telekinesis yet and i cant manipulate the rest of the world so i am in fact completly useless...
the statement above was wrong
-> i actually can use ranged weapons since the moment the arrow/thrown dagger leaves my hands it becomes corporeal again...
so yes the rogue will be the first level now


that way i at least have a breathweapon

i am really not sure on those paladin/hexblade or blackguard levels...

of course better saves are great... but this is the rare case where you dont really need saves...
beeing undead and incorperal (50% miss) should pretty much cover everything
since mind affecting does not work at all neither do most of the fortsaves...

ok i have a weak ref save but then again i am incorperal and have limitless healing via dread necro

as for the la buy off i am really not sure how this works...
since its is +5 the first possibility for buy off should be level 15

i dont think THIS works:
and even if you as no at level 3 you la is +2 so you can buyoff a level at level 6 what exactly would happen? would i just get the next level?

Taint rules give undead a free feat.  Spend that on ghostly grasp, and you can now freely manipulate the world.

If you have one la at level 3, you can buy off a level.  If you have two la at level six, you can buy off a level.   And so on.

By staggering your ghost savage progression correctly, you can buy off the whole template b level 15, though ghost5 is so bad I don't see why you'd bother buying off the last level.

siren is indeed an interesting and strong prc...

but i feel there are two issues with that: first you can only take

Frightful Moan
OR
Malevolence

and second:
all effects target everyone...

i somehow feel this is too dangerous for the rest of the party

so say i am :
something 1
ghost1
something2
something3<- at this point i buyoff...

what does it do? basically remove the ghost1 level which does not offer any hd or skills and so on?

with the abilities of ghost1 ???

Levels of ghost are just dolled up level adjustments.  Buying off a level decreases your ECL by a point.

You have to put 3 levels after each LA. So
Fighter 1/Ghost 1/Fighter 3 can buy off that LA, and be the same as a Fighter 4 would be, but with all of the benefits of Ghost 1 for free. Then take another level in ghost and get another 3 fighter levels, and buy off that LA, too. That way, you're only one level behind, but still accruing benefits.

Don't throw greatswords, throw darts. They have a far greater damage to weight ratio. At max CL, you can hurl 15 Colossal+ (as in, one size category above Colossal) darts, Colossal++ if you make them mithril. Colossal+ darts do 4d6 damage each, I can't be bothered to look up the tables and work out how much Colossal++ darts would do, but I suspect it's 6d6. Add on +1 and a 1d6 energy damage of your choice to each dart, and you're doing a rather unfriendly (7d6+CHA mod+1)*15 damage, or 105d6+15+15*CHA mod.

For more information, check out this monstrosity (admittedly gestalt, but that just meant I got sneak attack and skirmish as well)

sianghams and crossbow bolts (darkwood gets you to colossal++++) have the best damage:weight ratios.

Arrows or bolts deal damage according to their size, so that fat D10 base damage (medium) becomes a D4 - not so great. Still, you're looking at 1/10th of a pound base weight for a standard bolt, which is still optimum, IMHO.

You can throw up to 15 objects to a total of 375lb. That's 25lb per object. Arrows and bolts damage as daggers. But sling ammunition doesn't... Specifically the Skiprock. Which will let you attack twice with each rock. Maybe, not sure if it works for sure but either way, thrown weapons are the best damage to weight ratio, and the spell only specifies arrows and bolts.

1d6 and it weighs 1/8lb if Medium (and mithral/darkwood)
10d6 and it weights 16lb if Col+++

That's 150d6 + (15xcha)!

i dont get this... why do i have to alternate ghost levels with 3 non ghost levels?
a fighter 3/ghost 1 can buy of his la1 with his 3rd hd becoming ECL3
when i take another level of ghost...
becoming fighter3(ghost1)/ghost2 i again have ECL4 and 3 hd so i could immediatly buyoff that one too??? couldn't i?

No, at that point you still have 2 LA, but one of them is bought off and doesn't count towards your ECL.
