Where was Favored Power Attack reprinted? Races of the Wild? (I guess Completes doesn't include that, does it?) It is a decent feat, if you know what you'll be fighting most of the time (Hawks, for example :P ).

hmmmm, there IS that...

But it will also make it easier for me to succeed the DC 15 Will save to prematurely end the frenzy.

Cause i mean, who wants to pay for a level 2 scroll every fight...
Just don't put any ranks into jump, and give 'em a wand of grease.  Since you autofail balance checks, you'll just lie on your back until the frenzy wears off.  Like a really angry turtle.

You autofail dex checks (not just balance checks) while in a frenzy, right?  Isn't there some feat or item that gives you dex to balance instead of str?

Balance is a dex check already.

And i can'T use it while I frenzy, so i can't evade a grease spell when i'm in a frenzy! :D

Perfect!

Sorry, that should have read dex to jump.  But, yeah, as long as your DM doesn't let you jump while prone, you should be fine.

Considering you have a super wand wielder already Monk would be much better, but the whole BaB thing does hurt.  The only full bab good will class I can think of is Knight and that's not going to work with a blender.

Hexblade has full Will, as does Duskblade (though Duskblade isn't an option).

Hey all, updates on all of this.

My Dm has houseruled that monks now get full BaB to even them out a bit.

I promptly ditched my ranger levels in favor of monk levels, thus gaining a shiny new attack per round, at the cost of -2 to all attacks.

Now I face a sort of connundrum.

I need more survivability.

With 12 cons and average hit dice, I have a pitiful 28 hp at level 4, and the DM's npc's hit like fucking hammers (1d8+6 for mooks last game).

I also have a very known spread of getting rolled high agaisnt me, all the time.  I had a 42 AC level 7 wizard who got hit 3 times in a fight by minotaurs who had +12 to hit.  I got attacked 5 times overall.  He just rolled 20's.
This trend has shown itself agaisnt the mighty Raging Whirlwind, and so I will not focus my survivability on AC.

I will focus it on HP and DR.  Ways to mitigate damage instead of preventing it.  We have a very good healing system, with an artificier crafting wands of cure light wounds ( no spell compendium so no lesser vigor :() to heal us, and a cleric who can come in with the heal spells later on.  So I need a way to Rake in the Temp HP, or get some DR.

Magic items are the way to go for that (but no MIC, only completes, core, and eberron books) since my feats are tight.

Any help can be gained from that side?

I hesitate between taking the normal rage variant and the whirling frenzy variant.

Normal rage would grant me +2 to attack and temp hp equal to 2x my level.   it would also net me +2 to will saves and +2 to fort saves.

Whiling rage would grant me +2 to ref saves, +2 to AC, +2 to damage and an additional attack per round.

Now the additional attack is what would make me pick whirling frenzy anytime normally, but the temp hp and bonus to will saves is looking mighty tasty right now, since it means one more hit from the ennemy before I fall down.

I'm also tempted with switching my dex score (a base 16, modified to 18 by racial) with my cons score  (a base 14, modified to 12 by racial) which would put my cons at 14, and my dex at 16.  It would be a hit to my ref saves (and I have evasion so it matters) and initiative, but it would grant me more hp.

What do you guys think?

Alright, it's me again with more cogitations on the whole thing.

Seeing as how i'm not even sure we'll go to above level 12 with this campaign, and that in the highest of levels my damage output will be high enough being pumped to death with spells, and damage being irrelevant at higher levels, what with all the tier 1's i'm running with, I decided not to go with frenzied berserker.  It kinda breaks my ''raging whirlwind'' theme, but not that much, since I keep a barb level :)

So here's my new build I was thinking of, it is a much faster build than what I originally had, one that becomes incredibly deadly at around level 10, but i'm pretty hazy as to what is going to happen after level 12 class wise.  Maybe some hexblade to shield me from high level spellcasters using meddle...  I don't really know...

Wood Elf (+2 str, +2 dex, -2 con, -2 int)
Stats:
Str:18
Dex: 18
Con: 12
Int: 10
Wis : 10
Cha :10

Levels : Monk 2/Fighter 2/Barbarian 1/Revenant Blade 5/Exotic Weapon Master 2/ **NO IDEA** 8
Role : Tank and Damage dealer.
Feats:
1Bladebearer of Valenar, Power attack (bonus)
2 Improved bull rush (bonus)
3 Two Weapon Fighting,(Weapon Focus (double blade scimitar) as a fighter bonus feat)
4 Double Steel Strike (Fighter Bonus)
6 Leap Attack
9 Shock Trooper
12 Improved Two weapon fighting
15 Greater Two Weapon Fighting
18 Open feat, Maybe extra rage

SO what levels should I take?  More monk? Hexblade?  Something entirely different?  Is the new build sound?  Should I stick with frenzied berserker?
