Ghandi
« on: June 08, 2009, 03:51:44 PM »
I want to make him. I'm going to be in a campaign that's supposed to focus a bunch on roleplaying, but I still want to have some power in battle and such. Right now, I'm thinking

Human
Favored soul(maybe go into Apostle of Peace)
Take Sacred Vow, Vow of Poverty, Vow of Nonviolence, Vow of Peace.

He will be unhittable, and he won't allow violence. Is there anything else I can do in case the DM might find out some weakness of the build though? That's about all I have to ask of you. Please help me fill in the gaps!

EDIT: Wow I forgot a lot of details. Alright, maybe I should do a variant of something, like the divine bard or whatever, since the weapon spec doesn't help me at all.

For books, All but campaign setting stuff(except Forgotten Realms, which is what we're using). Even UA and everything.

Craft (Basketweaving) - Literally , you need it.

Leadership as much as possible; Thrallherd isn't quite the flavor even if a larger group.
Leadership chains, or even a loop.
It's possible to say, he was a Proxy; considering the number of people who followed him, and the multiplicity of gods stuff.

Have him use a lot of nondamaging spells like Color Spray and Bands of Iron (or binding or whatever), and then knock out the bad guys and use his epic diplomacy to make them commit to jesus.

You almost made me snort a cookie out of my nose. That would have been painful.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

But you would've been sneezing cookies (or bits thereof) all day! Cookies!  :D

Do we have a modern Ghandi?

Of course we do

I hope the link helps (oh, and the comment regarding a modern Ghandi is tongue-in-cheek).

If I were the DM, I'd assign you a dependent NPC, a small child.  Then I'd have you kidnapped.

Then I'd make a gawdawful joke about "taking Ghandi from a baby..."

that is so wrong and evil.... I like it. :clap
Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.
Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren
