If you have the Int to warrant putting at least a few points into each skill, it could be worth it. With low skill points, probably not because you're taking 2 feats for +1 attack/damage...

be a dwarf and take the ancestral knowledge feat to get wis instead of int to your knowledge checks. and use the knowledge skills untrained  :love
also (if this is a possibility for you) you might make a 1lvl dip into Hammer of Moradin to gain the proficiencies for your armor.

Thanks for pointing out the divine magician acf, I will gladly use it instead of the protection domain for more versatility!
