Well, as I'll update you all later to show, the World of Wonder was a great success. We've got several rival nations of relatively equal power, a dank corner of the world that is lawless and crazy, and I'm really proud of how the NPC generation went. People can still define more about the world at this point, but from the looks of it they're pretty much done and my work's about to begin.
The things I have set about this world are thus far:
No magic. Wizards are Psions and Clerics are Ardents. Incarnum, Tome of Battle, Tome of Magic (Well, Binders) are all allowed. Paladin casting and Ranger casting are allowed. I'm considering a Bard rewrite where the spells are replaced with the class features of 2 other Bard prestige classes. 28 points, one to one ratio for stat buy, all stats start at 8. Possibly a few skill rewrites. 6th character level. For the most part a player may request that a "cleric" or a "wizard" prestige class be adapted for their Psion or Ardent.
So, first up we have an order for a Scout (I think Swift Hunter will also interest this guy) who uses two whips. No problem, just outfit the guy with Whip Daggers or Mighty Whips, and we're gold. TWF with a secondary Lockdown focus. How should I get this guy movement? Pounce? Travel Devotion? Eventually he'll be capable of the DC 40 tumble check to take a 10 foot step. Improved Skirmish may be useful for this guy.
The second one is described as a guy who can "Use two katanas and heal." This is fine, I suppose. Ardent with the Healing mantle thrown in there somwhere, or a Crusader with Stormguard Warrior. Possible that "Shadowbane Stalker" class with Ardent, which will give healing progression and sneak attack. Problem with PrC'ing out of Ardent is that there's no reliable source of more mantles. This one needs a bit of help.
