Ok, if this is old news, sorry. I did a search here (and 339 search, as so often, doesn't work), google gives me two threads that mention the feat, none of which mention that you can get double your dice if you really DO sneak attack that target by some other method.

So, why no love?

It's interesting. I think per the RAW you're probably right. Just wonder how many DMs would balk at allowing it, and instead just say that the damage from the feat is your sneak attack damage, despite how it is applied.

It's also got a fairly limited (though useful in its niche) ability, and the "Add an Incantatrix" advice is so useful that it's to the point where it's not useful advice anymore. It's like saying "Take natural spell." It's one of the big Duhs in the game.

That's true, but that was just flavour, anyway.
