Optimizing pick-up lines.
« on: April 19, 2009, 02:16:59 AM »
This thread is partially a joke. The idea is to make a diplomancer of sorts, but especializing on Perform: Pick-up lines instead of Diplomacy.

Presenting various pick-up lines to be used during the execution of the skill itself is paramount.

I'm thinking of starting with Bard and just going from there (Virtuoso is looking good for this, so is Exemplar. Maybe a splash of Factotum there?). Able Learner would be nice but not an absolute necessity, with a CHA>INT>CON>DEX=WIS>STR build being the most likely candidate.

Bonus points if the character is extremely efficient at this but otherwise looks freaky (case in point, Kobold).

Using Lord of the Dance-like tricks for this purpose would also be awesome.

So, shall we get to it?

Leadership cheese works. Delivering a pick-up line always works better if a few thousand guys behind you all go "Eh? Ehh?" right afterwards.

"If I were to ask you for sex, would your answer be the same as the answer to this question?"

I need to remember this one, it's bound to get some laughs.

On-topic (sort of): "Are you a Communist? Because I'd like for you to seize my means of production."

...Although Communists rarely show up in D&D games.

Has it ever occured to you how stupid WotC is at class design? "the shugenja has 19 dead levels, but this is mitigated by the fact that their sense elements ability increases its range by 5 feet per 2 levels..." No! No, it's not mitigated, those levels are dead and prestige classes are >> them.
