Or, if you have Adaptive Style, you spend a full-round action to get all your spells back. Imagine if, instead of needing 8 hours of rest and an hour to prepare, it took Wizards full-round actions to get their spells back. Yes, that is correct, it's more broken than a Gestalt Lightning Warrior//Druid with a Cleric dip for DMM Persist.

Oh, don't be silly. Lightning Warrior was completely balanced, it didn't have a familiar.

woodenbandman was working on a variant that was a combination of the regular Swordsage and the Shadowcaster. How did that turn out?

Take the steel dragon build from my second post here: dragon pc races

Replace Crusader with the spell variant Swordsage and use the wyrm of war archetype... now scratch your head and try to figure out just how things stack. By my guess, I think you wind up getting 9th level spells by level 16 (potentially 14 if you use LA buyback).

My variant actually turned out fine, it's going to see use in the Superhero Ultra Burning Dimension Force game. Check out the latest version here: http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=3263.0

Now imagine combining said Archetype with a Tome of Ancient Lore  :bigeye

Since it'll let you prep any arcane spell you can cast, it would remove the spell school recommendations (since it isn't even an explicit restriction), and for that matter, would the WoW give a pseudo-progression?

No, I don't think it would be that powerful... remember the Sorcerer (no, I don't remember it either, but that's not the point :P )?

He also had a lot of spells, but guess what? He had too few spells known, which probably is exactly what I think will happen to this too... 25 spells known at level 20? even though you can nova 12 of them every other round, they still have to be useful in the current situation to be worth it...

So yeah, it's like a total combat freak that instawin (or almost) combat encounters, but the low amounts of utility will mean that he can't hope to do everything like a wizard or cleric or whatever can...

Time Stop then recover the time stop, then Time Stop again before it ends.

Is there any reason this wouldn't work?
