Walls (and chests) of force are transparent. But by RAW they still stop light spells because they stop line of effect, is that right?

I mean, all those extra water molecules would heat it all up until they broke down into hydrogen and oxygen, and hydrogen would start to fuse into helium.  The chest would stop the particles, but it's transparent and wouldn't stop light and heat, or...
